Colourful, Feisty, and Ambitious
My self-summary Propose an edit
I'm 20, I'm a University Student. I'm a fun and lively girl, who is
eccentric and loves to put a smile on people's faces :) I love
music and films and love the old classics but like to keep in touch
with whats new. I'm British but have Irish parents. It's a good
combination :)
I've got terrible organisation skills and leave lots of things til
the last minute. I am an expert procrastinator. Essays and exam
time are when I do the most interesting things to
procrastinate.
I'm brutally honest. If you don't want my truthful opinion, don't
ask for it. And if you think you can get away with disrespectful,
sexist and insulting messages, you've got another thing coming.
Funny how most of those males never message back.
I'm quite a confident person, especially on my top days, but those
can be few and far between! I'm really interested in people's views
and beliefs, and like talking things out as I'm pretty open minded
about everything.
I've got love for you if you were born in the 80s. :)
I've also got love for you if you want to talk about Karl
Pilkington.
"Better than being treated like the goofball...the joker...the
MAGICIAN..."
"I love golllllllllllld"
What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit
Well I'm currently in my final year as a Philosophy student. I think I want to
stick with it and do some postgraduate work on it. So I'm actually
working really hard (unlike some Uni students!) I love it, it is
totally my passion. And I am proud of that :)
I'm really good at Propose an edit
Talking, haha. I'm told I talk way too much and have even been
accused of being gobby on occasions! Well I never. I'm also not a
bad singer either. I can make a song out of anything as well. just
a simple phrase will set me off.
I also enjoy perfecting my rendition of the classic Denzel
Washington line in Training Day - "King Kong ain't
got SHIT on me"
The first thing(s) people usually notice about me Propose an edit
My blue eyes probably. Also my long eyelashes. I get asked if they
are fake, and get people wanting to touch them all the time. Very
weird.
Or my laugh. I can't help it though, if something amuses me, I have
to show my appreciation ;)
And if its in philosophical discussions or, well anything - I have
a lot of opinions. Butttt I think that's ok, really.
I've also just had a Bettie Page-esque fringe cut into my hair, so
that is getting a few notices these days.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit
a) books - Harry
Potter (of course) All Chuck Palahniuk books, especially Choke
and Fight Club, 1984, Lord of the Flies, L'Etranger is probably my all time
favourite book (I've read it in both French and English). I love
Kurt
Vonnegut as well, Slaughterhouse V being a fave.
I'm also a real fanatic about plays (if i had the money i'd be in
the theatre every week) and for me, nobody can top Mr David Mamet.
Oleanna still to
this day, just simply reading it gives me chills.
Measure
for Measure is probably my favourite Shakespeare play, along with Othello
and Hamlet. But I think there is magic in most of them. People have
asked what is it about Measure for Measure which I think is so
great. And I think it is because it is so misinterpreted and
debunked as a certain genre, when really it contains so much depth.
The Duke is sometimes skated over but he is one of the most
Iago-ian characters of Shakespeare's world. The ending, one which
can seem unsatisfactory and a farce, has so much hidden meanings
and leaves me with quite an empty disturbed feeling.
b) Anything Gary
Oldman is in (And even the diabolical films he's been in)) He's
just the absolute king of the acting world, and if anybody denies
it, they are very weird. (As suggested by a random messager who I
forget, I like every one of Gary Oldman films...What do you mean
every one?...EVERY ONE!!!!)
A random selection, Die Hard, Donnie Darko, The Usual
Suspects, Primal
Fear, Batman
Begins, Taxi Driver, Interstate 60, Amores Perros,
Fight Club, True
Romance, Casablanca, Pulp Fiction, Léon, He Loves Me, He Loves
Me Not, Traffic, American Beauty, Willy Wonka
and the Chocolate Factory, Gone with the Wind, When Harry Met
Sally..., Trainspotting, Office Space, Shaun of the Dead,
Grease, The
Way We Were
I love old school musicals and Singin' in the Rain is my
absolute favourite.
TV - The
Office, The Office (US version), Fawlty Towers, Alan Partridge
Buffy the Vampire Slayer (seasons 1-3), Queer as Folk(UK), Sex and the City,
Friends, I'm a huge Grey's Anatomy addict, Gok's
Fashion Fix
c) music - I like so many different things, current favourites are
Muse, Maroon 5, Snow
Patrol, Dizzee Rascal, Justice, Fall Out Boy and of course
Mark Ronson.
But again, the legend that is Frank Sinatra has to get a
mention.
I also have eternal love for The Smiths, Cream and The Clash. And true love lasts a
lifetime. And my all time fave song is Tale of Brave Ulysses by
Cream tied alongside Smooth by Santana & Rob Thomas (who also happens to
be a favourite of mine)
One of my favourite all time albums is The Score by The Fugees: it is just
amazing.
I'm pretty into my classical music as well. It's good for revision.
I'm a huge fan of Beethoven's Symphony No. 9 it gets whacked on
every week at some point. :P
d) Marmite is the
shiznay. I've also just decided how much i love eggs, I'm getting
pretty good at poaching eggs, I must say.
I love Kant, the philosopher. He is an actual dude.
The six things I could never do without Propose an edit
1) My friends because I do love my friends
2) My family because even though they can be annoying, you gotta
love them really :P
3) Kisses because they are just exquisite
4) Music because it's just good for all occassions
5) Water because drinking is one of my favourite activities and,
keeps me alive...bonus!
6) Mascara because I like to keep me eyes fluttery and nice
:P
...and 7) because I'm special and I'm allowing myself a special
one...Marmite
I spend a lot of time thinking about Propose an edit
Life and whats the point of it - hey I'm a philosopher at the end
of the day! I also think about politics, music, films, current
affairs.
People so often these days ignore things that I think are very
important, and just fade into the background.
Also, the moon. I love the moon. I'd sooner spend time outdoors
with the moon and stars then a sunset.
On a typical Friday night I am Propose an edit
Partying with my friends, dancing the night away - or chilling out
with a few friends instead. I'm a big fan of Friday nights
actually. I sometimes like to celebrate with a Crunchie to "get
that Friday feeling" but on a trip round the supermarket yesterday,
what was on offer...Crunchie ice creams! Now they are just sexual.
The most private thing I'm willing to admit here Propose an edit
My dream man is two parts Robert Redford, one part Gene Kelly and a
huge massive dash of Gary Oldman.
You should message me if Propose an edit
Well, if you liked the profile. Or if you would like to comment on
something I've said, or have a question for me...or whatever.
Message away.
One thing about woos. Woos are fine but only if you then send me a
message later. Come on, my profile is lengthy enough to find some
point of interest. And if you can't, we probably wouldnt get on
:P
If you don't want to talk to a woman who is opinionated - then
don't message me. I thought the above profile would weed those guys
out, but no.
