What can I tell you about myself?

Mountains, water, wind, trees, music, tattoos, fire and anatomy are some of my interests. I enjoy watching conversations, human touch, and star gazing. We'll throw in the obligatory walks on the beach, too.

This is by no means an exhaustive list.

I am mutable, humorous, and intelligent

Thinking. I do a lot of thinking, sometimes more than what is healthy. This is what others tell me. :) No matter, says I. Imagination can be a well spring, from which all manner of ideas and potentially action, pour forth.

I also do this thing called work, from time to time. I enjoy what I do and am grateful for that.

Reading, talking, cooking, traveling, laughing loudly and dancing are some of the activities I enjoy.

Please remember that this text on your screen is just that... text. Don't take it too seriously.

Sometimes, people notice that I am taller than your average female.

Books - Stranger in a Strange Land, The Dispossessed, The BFG, The Trumpet of the Swan, the dictionary... I'm pretty picky about what I read. Sifting through it can get tiring. As such, I don't read as much as I used to. But when I find a good one, oh yes, yes, yes. I'll spend my day there in the world in the pages.

Movies - Big, Willow, The Five Senses... I usually find it easier to list actors and actresses here... Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Natalie Portman, Johnny Depp, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro and Peter Sarsgaard. That'll do for now.

MST3K, the Weather Channel, Northern Exposure and Law & Order(original) are some of the shows/channels I used to watch.

Music - I gotta choose favorites?

Okay, okay here goes. Thievery Corporation, Natascha Atlas, Bjork, Neko Case, Amanda Palmer, DJ Cheb i Shabbah, Johnny Cash, Jenny Lewis, Natalie Merchant, old Guns 'n' Roses and Aerosmith, Hakan Kornstad, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Bobby Darin, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Laverne Baker, Tori Amos, Bruce Springsteen, Morphine, Pink Floyd, Smashing Pumpkins, The Cure, Tricky, REM, Pearl Jam, and Stone Temple Pilots, Bat for Lashes and The Pixies are some of the artists I enjoy.

This is kind of an odd starter. Some days, I do not deal with one or more of the things on that list. The obvious choices (water, food, air, etc....) seem just that - obvious. The odd ball ones seem like a cry for attention. Bah. I suppose it's a conversation starter and/or a paragraph inciter. Well, it worked for the latter, because, see, I'm yammering on about it.

Honestly, I'm usually working. How do I spend free time? Mixed bag, really. Movies, dinner with friends, dinner without friends, visiting midnight gardens, etc.

If you want to try that new vegetarian-friendly restaurant.
If the idea of talking around and about everything in the known and unknown universes appeals to you... and I guess the simple answer is, if you would like to.

Simply put, I'm looking for new friends. It can also be stated another way....
