Transplant. The displacement of a previously well-integrated individual from a socio-geographic network to another, is a rather fond, albeit too accurate of nickname for me. The juxtaposition between fear and excitement creates an immense collection of energy; easily rivaling that of my morning Starbucks mocha, double shots and all.

I originally graduated from the University of Michigan, completed a one-year general residency, and most recently moved to Virginia for a special residency at an academic-teaching institution. Prior to all this, I've lived and traveled all over the world and although I really enjoyed Michigan's picturesque seasons, I'm really looking forward to discovering newer and warmer pastures :P

I like the outdoors, especially swimming and traveling. I really enjoy snowboarding, but I'm still terrible at it. Yet I can also be a house-cat; I love curling up with a good novel, movie, or anything with good company, particularly on rainy days. I have a penchant for red dry wines, discovering new places in town, experiencing new cultures, and perhaps above all, I'm passionate about shopping for Burberrys immediately following market crashes--maybe once every millennium :)

I'm a proud owner of a perky personality and I have an optimistic, but also down-to-earth, outlook on life.

I'm currently in the process of completing my specialty residency training. Having said that, my philosophy is life's a journey, so enjoy the ride ;)

Before tendonitis took a fancy in me, I used to jog 20-30 miles per week. I still try to log 3-5 miles every so often, but I mostly swim laps to stay active now. Mayhaps I'll pick up running again once I get a pair of Vibram FiveFingers; I've heard wonders about those, thoughts?

People tell me that I have good skin and that I'm tall (take that Asian 'jeans').

Friends tell me that I'm a loyal and caring individual of convivial nature.

Oh yeah and OKCupid seems to think that I'm 'arrogant/cocky'. I prefer the terms 'confident' and 'someone with ambition', thank you very much :P

How to veganize yummy recipes.

Despite having traveled to numerous places, I'd like to visit new places, submerge myself into different cultures, and experience the magnificence of our complex societies. Naturally, I also spend a lot of time thinking about "where to next?"

Catching up with friends, at the movies, or secretly playing Dance Central :X

1. I used to be a closet-gamer; I've since been downgraded to 'casual' status. We'll see what happens after December 20th :P
2. I took symbolic logic in college to meet my humanities requirement for graduation.
3. Sometimes, I think geekiness is really cute.

You're cool and smart with a lively outlook on life. A healthy dose of humor is a must; I usually don't take myself too seriously (except when I have my serious face on), so you probably shouldn't either.
