My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm Laszlo!
Hungarian-American anthropology student, 23 years post-heart-transplant, INFP. I used to be a film student and have been making videos on YouTube for at least 7 years.
I've been to 10 other countries and deeply need to travel more!
Dogs are essentially the most important being in existence, obviously ☆
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work at a rehab / short-term nursing home for sick and/or injured elderly!
Just graduated with honors from SCC, and enrolled for this fall at ASU halfway done with my BA in anthropology ☆

In my free time I make short films and try to spend days off traveling around the desert or finding local art galleries.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Growing a beard, petting dogs, filming nonsense and tagging it as avant-garde.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
What a nice cereal box

Books: Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? , A Happy Death, The Fall, The Stranger, Existentialism is a Humanism, 20000 Leagues Under the Sea, Life of Pi, The Man in the High Castle, and cool anthropology textbooks. Philip K. Dick and Albert Camus are my main bros for life.

Movies: Blade Runner, The Artist, Her, Mad Max: Fury Road, Jodorowsky's Dune, Everything is Illuminated, Mr. Nobody, Under the Skin, Tetro, Interstellar, The Descendants, Wild, A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night, Whiplash, Truman Show, After Hours, The Darjeeling Limited, The Royal Tenenbaums, Finding Vivian Maier, Little Miss Sunshine, Grand Budapest Hotel, Avengers, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.
I love movies. I love the experience itself of going to a theater, which is much more fulfilling than watching at home. Some are best experienced viewing alone in a crowded theater.

TV Shows: Daredevil, Portlandia, The X-Files, It's Always Sunny in Philidelphia, Breaking Bad, Regular Show, Parks & Rec, Arrested Development, Bob's Burgers, and anything/everything on the travel channel. I grew up watching Samantha Brown and Anthony Bourdain. One day I'll have my own travel show!

Music: Gogol Bordello, Balkan Beat Box, La Femme, Figrin D'an and the Modal Nodes, Stromae, Arcade Fire's soundtrack/score for the film Her, Mica Levi's score for Under the Skin, Philip Glass, Ennio Morricone, Federale, Radio Tehran, Caravan Palace, Annie Ford & Gregory Paul, Arctic Monkeys, etc.

Food: Sushi, shrimp tacos, Denny's, root beer.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Humanity
2. Travel
3. Art
4. Dogs
5. Movies about robots experiencing existential anguish
6. The open road
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Travel, extraterrestrials, dogs, the beautiful desert surrounding me, death, death acceptance, cultural anthropology, Denny's, existentialism, more dogs, just how cool humans really are.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I go to the desert alone at night a lot. Sometimes I paint when the moon is bright, other times I just watch the stars and listen to coyotes.
I find that driving on the open road can be a nice form of meditation, in a way
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have General Anxiety Disorder and I tend to worry a lot, but it's been a long time since any actual anxiety attacks. I'd like to think I'm getting really decent at controlling and flowing through any anxiety issues.
