I tend to burst into rooms shouting "Rosencrantz and Guildenstern
are dead" then laugh to myself when people don't get it. Sometimes
it takes me a while to get my own jokes... that should tell you a
A lot of people here seem to worry about what they would do in case
of a zombie holocaust. My solution is to release the raptors,
reducing it to a problem that has already been solved.
Apparently the fact that I edit London Drinker magazine for London
CAMRA got left off this profile. With it being one of the things in
my life that I am most proud of I am rather surprised it was
What I’m doing with my life
changing the world through technology and good real beer
I am a coder in the City during the week (and adore my job - it
means that I can be online all day) and then spend my evenings
tasting beer and testing pubs; its a hard life. I tend to get a
huge number of free drinks a week through knowing almost everyone
beer related in London.
I’m really good at
Choosing the right beer for people; there's one out there for
everyone. Making odd, off-the-wall jokes.
The first things people usually notice about me
my hair; I do have a lot of it, that and that I wear mostly black.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
It might take me an entire day to complete this section, I'll make
a start with books. I love books in general both fiction and
non-fiction. I enjoy a lot of different books and did recently read
an erotic novel on the tube (I torture myself for fun sometimes,
just because I can). Twilight and 50 shades of grey are
abhominations but for very different reasons.
The music I listen to is an odd mix of extremely hard rock and
psychobilly alongside classic blues and quite a few other genres...
current favourites? The Creepshow, Metallica, Lynyrd skynyrd, Iron
Maiden, Nightwish, Sisters of Mercy (I'm still a bit of a goth). I
am enough of a metal head that I still go to Crobar quite a
movies: mostly horror, usually something rare, and Dario Argento in
Shows: I love opera! If you're willing to watch Wagner with me you
should message me immediately. Phantom of the Opera and Rocky
Horror Picture show are also classics. Burlesque is amazing.
TV: not sure I watch TV any more... am never in
food: I love classic french especially steak tartare. I also
learned some exceptionally culinary skills from a chef friend. If
you want to see how good my cooking is you'll have to try it!
The six things I could never do without
Books, more books, real ale, a computer, my phone(s), the internet
(if that seems too big stack overflow would suffice).
I spend a lot of time thinking about
numbers and efficiency - what can I say... bit of a geek
On a typical Friday night I am
out somewhere, never know where
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'm not very good with people; I just learned to hide it well.
You should message me if
If you want more information of course or if you like reading and
want someone to read with or if you like allitteration enough to
find it arousing, I suppose liking beer is desirable.
