My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
East Coast transplant that loves hiking and the amazing food scene here. Just making the most of every moment in this crazy city and living life to the z Zzz z z zzz. Z ....

*huh? **snort** what, what is it? Lord, that was boring. Let's get on with

From Maryland but I found Bay Area culture easy to adopt. Lived in New Zealand and then Maine before moving here on a whim. Been here long enough to feel uneasy about what's happening without being too high and mighty about it.

Well-adjusted with hella friends. I will talk to anyone and hear them out because everyone has a story. I value a sense of community. My moral compass is fully functional.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I (used to be a) full-time journalist. To pay the bills, I write for a medical news website (edit: work in PR).To keep me satisfied, I write about live music for a couple different local publications (still do because I love to).

I build and maintain relationships well. It's important to me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
For fun, I climb, bike, and sail, among other outdoor pursuits. Weekends are meant for getting outside and getting involved with the Bay Area's cultural core, from live music to museums, to the arts in general.

I know my way around a grill and like to cook. Annnd I'd like to think that I'm a good host.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Music: Give me a pile of dusty records and I'm happy. I love blues, soul, jazz, and music from New Orleans. Hip-hop- mostly from the mid-90s golden era, (The Roots, Outkast, Wu-Tang.). I'll give damn near anything a chance. Indie, EDM, bluegrass, you name it.

Books: I'm reading "A Confederacy of Dunces" right now and it is f'n hilarious. Cormac McCarthy's "Blood Meridian." One of the densest, funniest books I've ever read was "The Sot-Weed Factor;" props if you've read it or even heard of it.

Shows: The usual HBO suspects-- The Wire, GOT, John Oliver, and I really enjoyed watching Treme in its entirety before a trip to New Orleans. Sports. 30 Rock. SNL. Parks & Rec.

Movies: I was in an ostentatiously named "Exclusive Movie Club" where the same two friends and I would watch a weird-as-shit film that one person picked but the others knew nothing about. Then we'd have a beer afterward try to process it.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My radio (no, really. My sister gave me this old zenith radio that she found in my grandfather's basement. I use it daily.)
A booked up concert & social calendar
Body of water nearby
A sense of humor
Good books
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Getting dinner with few friends or catching a show. Might be a quiet night, which has its virtues. Staying in with the company of someone you connect with and care about is one of life's great comforts, let's be real about that. I don't care how I find that person, so long as I find her.
