My Self-Summary
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
TV: Weeds, True Blood, Dexter, Mad Men, Big Love, Deadwood, Six Feet Under, Project Runway, Top Chef, Amazing Race, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, The Office, Nip/Tuck
Radio: This American Life; Wait, Wait Don't Tell Me; Morning Edition; All Things Considered, Fresh Air
Movies: Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, Chicago, To Kill a Mockingbird, Dead Poets Society (completely treacly, I know, but, what can I say, a sentimental favorite), Clue, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Shaun of the Dead, The Princess Bride
Theatre: Doubt, Angels in America, The Importance of Being Earnest, Into the Woods, Macbeth, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Ragtime
Food: Various. I am not a picky eater, which I think is a tremendous virtue. (I say this not in the sense of I'm not discerning about the quality of what I eat, but instead in the sense of I'd never say things like "Ew...I don't like things with those weird foreign spices. Please pass the chicken fingers." I like to try new things. These restaurants have definitely been my friend this summer (if you're not near me, these won't make much sense, I'm afraid): The Flytrap, Toast (both locations), and Cafe Muse. Redcoat Tavern is a regular in my restaurant rotation.
The six things I could never do without
Stuff to watch (theatre, movies, television)
Stuff to create (generally theatre)
Stuff to read
Good Food
Good conversation
