I am dependable, friendly, and intelligent.

My Self-Summary

I'm an organized, sensible, goal-oriented individual with a good idea of what I want in life, and I work hard and always put in the time and effort to meet my objectives.

I'm a very loyal person, maintaining close ties with the people I find important in life, including various family members and best friends from high school. I feel deeply responsible for just about everyone around me, and I'm always sensitive and attentive to everyone's needs. I'm never happy unless you are. If you have a problem, then I'll fix it!

That being said, my friends would describe me as dependable. I try to help everyone out in any way possible, even if it means putting my own business aside. They may also see me as exceptionally mature for my age, both in and out of the office. As serious as I am sometimes, I also have a lighter side knowing how to have fun.

Right now, I live a fairly comfortable single life but find myself seeking companionship, hopefully with someone like-minded, a diligent worker with a sense of direction, an ability to have an intelligent conversation and a tolerance for some sarcasm and wit. I'm not necessarily looking for my mirror image. What fun is there, anyway, in being with a carbon copy of yourself? Everyone is different, and I welcome the challenge of experiencing new things when meeting others.

If you're out there, then drop me a line!

What I’m doing with my life

I'm a transportation design engineer employed full-time by a small private-sector consulting firm. I've been working there for almost three years. I'll want to earn my license to become a Professional Engineer in the near future.

I’m really good at

...my job, I suppose? I enjoy what I do, even if it does ask for more than 40 hours of my time per week. I'll work on projects dealing with the creation of new or modification of existing roadways meaning to improve the flow of traffic, either pedestrian or vehicular. I'd tell you it's more exciting than it sounds, but... Well, at least it pays the bills.

I seem to have a real knack for cooking, though I'm no professional. If I didn't choose to pursue a career in engineering, then I would have studied architecture... and then I would have considered culinary arts. Cooking, in my opinion, is an important life skill. You're not going to want to live on canned or frozen microwaveable food forever, you know!

Hmmm... What else? I'd say I'm also good at karaoke, at playing various board and video games, at playing along with contestants on television game shows... There's probably more stuff I can't think of at the moment.

The first things people usually notice about me

...are how short I am, how young I look for my age, how shy I can be around people I meet for the first time, how my hair is free of styling product... What? Don't look at the screen like that. I don't often think about these types of things. Do you?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Not much of a book person here, but the last book I partially read was "Traffic" by Tom Vanderbilt. Why do we drive the way we do, and what does it say about us? It's an interesting read. I'm more of a reader of online material, and I love browsing articles on The Consumerist, Digg and The New York Times.

I frequent more Japanese and Thai restaurants than anything else, but I like a little of everything, and my friends and I are always looking for new places to eat. At home, I'll usually have meat and potatoes, but on those nights when I'm feeling really creative, I'll prepare pizza, sushi or anything else I find interesting. I generally avoid fast food as much as possible.

Movies? I don't watch much of them, but I'm always willing to tag along with people if there's ever something ought to be seen. In terms of genres, I like action and adventure, comedy, science fiction and thriller.

The six things I could never do without

> my car
> my computer
> Diet Coke, among other drinks with little to no sugar
> my electric toothbrush
> my family and friends (That's two things? Too bad!)
> fine-tipped pens and/or sharp pencils (I'm a designer/drafter. I'd die without them!)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

...how good life is -- or how good it's slowly becoming -- and whether or not I can share that happiness with someone else.

Also, how my stocks are performing, how much longer before I earn my PE license (see "What I'm Doing with My Life") and how much longer before I lose all of my hair...

On a typical Friday night I am

...hanging out with my friends, hopefully! We'll do things like eat out, have some beer, play board or video games, watch movies or television, etc. Otherwise, I may be at home paying off my sleep debt for the week.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

It's a side of me known to and seen by only my closest friends, but I love crude humor: double entendre, perversion, sex jokes, etc. MTV's Jackass is my kind of show, but as much I love watching, you'll never see me doing what they do. Probably out of fear of losing my manhood...

You should message me if

...you find yourself doing a double-take on my Profile. That must mean something, right?
