I am looking for romance with someone with depth who can appreciate my independence and give me space. I am a complex woman who feels things deeply, has many interests and a colorful past. I am fun-loving, warm, affectionate and really just want to be loved for who I am. I am easily bored and love to be entertained, so a great sense of humor is mandatory. My spiritual path is also very important, so I need someone who's on the same wavelength, or understanding of mine. A lot to ask? Maybe, but at this age, I can't settle for less.

Other stuff about me: I've been to India twice & lived in Israel for a year, so I have had some adventures. Hope to do more traveling... always wanted to go to Ireland & Italy. I have masters degrees in dance & public health & am now studying gemology with the GIA... I believe in life-long learning & hope I will always have something that interests me.

I'm an ex-hippie who was a free spirit when I was younger. I enjoy unconventional people who don't fit into any particular molds. But the most important things are humor, affection & character. I love hugging, kissing & holding hands, but I need intellectual stimulation as well, so no dummies allowed. You don't have to be an Einstein, but I love deep conversations on many subjects.

Retired from NASA after 31 years in Sept. 2011. Took a year off, now studying with the GIA, starting to work as a sales rep for a famous jewelry designer, & am training to become a water fitness instructor at the Y. Trying to find my post-retirement path forward. I'm a folk dancer & have a cute Boston Terrier who I walk regularly with my dog park friends. 2013 is my year, The Year of the Serpent, so I am hopeful that things will turn around for me & bring great surprises.
