My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm David Letterman in a Jay Leno town. I'm also a guy who is sad that he has now dated himself with that reference.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Right now, I work in the finance industry dealing specifically with mutual funds.

It's important to me to eat healthy and exercise often. For workouts, I train in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and kickboxing.

I also really want to start learning to cook a more diverse range of healthy meals for myself and others (I have no idea how healthy it actually is, but my latest obsession is huevos rancheros).

A last note on exercise: I'm open to other activities that would complement what I do already. Hiking, biking, swimming, yoga would all be fair game to me. If one of those is your thing, I'd be interested in tagging along.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
being stupid enough to read books about controversial topics in public, apparently.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
A lot of people seem to get caught up on the fact that I look like a tall Harry Potter (or a taller version of the actor that played him).

I mean...can't a guy walk around with glasses, slightly shaggy hair, and a forehead scar without being compared to a popular young adult wizard of literature!?!?

TV - The Simpsons (the classic episodes are a permanent fixture on this list), Arrested Development, The Shield, Breaking Bad, Mad Men.

Food - TACOS! HUEVOS RANCHEROS! Also falafel.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. The ability to perceive
2. The ability to think about what I have just perceived
3. A book about whatever subject has captured my attention lately
4. BJJ and Kickboxing
5. Craft beer
6. Corn muffins
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
The big questions. Anything and everything you're told not to bring up at a dinner party.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
training Brazilian jiu jitsu and muay Thai (kickboxing).

On the Fridays I'm not doing that, I'm probably at a coffee shop with a book, or at home with a tasty beer. On rare but highly appreciated occasions, I would be at a concert.

You like nerdy or geeky things. You are smart and proud of it, but recognize that there is more to life than intellectualism.
