Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
After going to to Brazil for the World Cup in 2014, I feel
rejuvenated. I was able to relax, meet some great people from
around the world and see some great football (soccer) all at once.
People keep telling me that it was a trip of a lifetime. While it
was an amazing trip, I really hope it wasn't.
I'm an outgoing, social person who has created a great life for
himself through hard work (and maybe a little good luck). I have a
great family and friends. I grew up in NJ, went to college in PA
and England. I've lived in the DC area for 15 years and thoroughly
enjoy it. I love the mix of city and green space as well as how
passionate people are about their careers (although I wish the
first question wasn't: "What do you do?")
I've been described as thoughtful, considerate, funny and driven. I
believe that loyalty and honesty are very important. I love to
check out new places either around town or elsewhere. Over the past
couple years, I’ve been doing more traveling and finally crossing
off places that I’ve said I would go "some day." This year was
Brazil for the World Cup and London (although I've been there
before). I'm hoping to get to Argentina, Germany, Iceland and a
bunch of domestic places in the next few months/years.
I love soccer and hockey and my favorite football team is whoever
is playing the Redskins (I will not hold it against you if you
support them). I'm learning to play golf and getting more
adventurous in the kitchen. Both have proved to be a lot of
I think my profile, especially this part, isn't as reflective as it
could be of me so please bear with me. If you are curious about
anything I write, just ask.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I work as a lobbyist for an association that helps kids get into
college. I enjoy it and like that I'm doing something positive with
I also carve out some time to do volunteer work. While it varies
somewhat, the Arlington Food Assistance Center is a favorite.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I love reading nonfiction but I'm really good at forgeting what I
just read. However, I do pull random facts out that surprise even
me. Listening/asking questions.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I can't say a lot of people tell me but I think it is my eyes.
Could be my voice, it is rather deep. Also, I'm always early, but I
don't hold it against you if you are on time.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
This is tough but friends, music, trying new cuisine,
soccer/hockey, good conversation...I'll have to get back to you on
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
It used to be how/why people act like they do -- usually it starts
with WTF..? But lately it is how important the Oxford comma is to
women on this site.
Also, where I should go on vacation (seriously, any suggestions)?
When are the Caps going to win in the post-season. What's the plan
for this weekend?
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
At a happy hour or dinner with friends.

Why not? If you found anything of interest, send me an email.
But, don't bother if all you are going to say is "hi" or some other
one word/phrase sentence.
