I know I said teaching kills free time, but I do get out as often as I can to salsa dance go to pub trivia, throw darts, listen to bands, see a baseball/soccer/hockey game, try yoga, grab dinner and/or drinks, hike, canoe, cruise the lake, ski, play tennis or golf...or any crazy adventure the friends talk me into.
I own my own home and spend time DIYing it up around the house. Painting, I just tore the bathroom down to studs and subfloor and renovated it. I have a little wood shop in the basement and love to build and create.
I use to play in a professional orchestra and then several bands in and just after college. I'm not in any groups right now, but I still play and love music. I just took a eukele lesson for the fun of it. It wasn't bad, but I'll stick to bass and guitar.
I love to travel. I've driven through out the U.S., been to Canada several times, and most recently South Korea. While in Korea I was able to briefly step across the border into North Korea. I have family in England and am hoping to visit soon. Life is all about getting out there and seeing new things.
So I'm pretty laid back. I try to take a "when a door closes, a window opens" approach to life. I'm just trying to say I don't sweat the small stuff. I'm looking for someone who has a similar view on life.
