My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hey there, thanks for reading/visiting.

I have realised recently that this profile was an old one that I just had not got round to sprucing up when I reactivated the account so I have decided to do so now, So I guess the first thing to mention is a gift for procrastination. Or being male if you believe my sisters.

Other than that, I am just your normal 30 something, nearing 40 something, male who likes alternative music, comedy and tend to prefer quiet nights in watching films or TV than going out to clubs etc.

Oh and I am also a science fiction geek but try not to make it a hindrance in my day to day life. However I cannot hold a conversation about sport to save my life so if you are looking for someone to accompany you to Old Trafford or wherever Manchester City Play (I want to say Main Street) I am afraid you will have to pop along.

Well I guess that's me, I am a good listener although I tend not to add much to a conversation unless it is needed, I love hearing other people talk. I like to think of myself as intelligent and cultured but only so long as I don't have to back that up by going to museums and the theatre all that often. I am also honest to a fault as is by now painfully clear.

I am a cat lover with my own brood of 6 spayed and neutered little darlings, so I hope you are not allergic :)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently working full time for a large Railway Maintenance Company as a Planning Assistant. I am really happy where I am at the moment and can't wait to see where my career takes me in the next few years.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making a fool of myself, usually after a beer.

Heh. I am a little bit obsessive when it comes to the things I like doing and watching regularly and so I am good at quoting from books, films and TV Shows I enjoy to watch. I personally do not think of myself as too geeky but I can certainly see how other people might think it and good luck to them I say!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am quite tall and broadshouldered, people tend to notice that, I am a big guy. They also seem to take my general demeanour for grumpy when nothing can be further from the truth, I just have trouble opening up to people I do not know and I am not at my most comfortable in crowds. I love nothing more than getting to know new people.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

hmm Ok I will name a few of each in no particular order

A) Day of the Triffids (well most of John Wyndams books really but that one is my favourite), Harry potter and The Goblet of fire, all Terry Pratchet, Terry Goodkind, David Gemmel and a couple of David Eddings although to be honest I consider him the McDonalds of Fantasy authors. There are loads more.

B) Dogma, Chasing Amy, Lord of the rings, Star Wars (NOT THE PREQUELS!)) Tootsie, Princess Bride, All Chevy Chase films before and including Memoirs of an Invisible man, My DVD collection is a little on the large side too so I can go on for a bit about this also. Ohh Back to the Future is also a good one, Inner Space, condorman, national Treasure... Meh, they are all good.

C) Metallica, the Smiths, UB40, U2, Adam Ant, Niel Diamond, Barbara Striesand, I like most music I hear and have no real favourites, my taste tends to lean towards Rock/Metal though

D) anything Italian. Lasagne rules all.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My Computer,
My Books,
My DVDs,
My Friends,
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Who I am, where I would like to be, who I would like to be with.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Thinking about stuff, reading, socialising or fiddling about on my computer.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I think 6 cats is too much but I just love them all too much to split up the family :)
