Hi!

My name is Maarten.
My hobbies are collecting and watching horror movies and playing magic: the gathering.
I like to think that in general I have a positive outlook on life but apperantly I dont look that way.
I'm also a very goal-oriënted person and I wouldnt enjoy life if there isnt some goal to be chased or challenge to be overcome.
I also procrastinate a lot because I do everything better under pressure.

I also enjoy having intellectual conversations with anyone who knows what they are talking about. Since I am interested in nearly any subject I want to hear what you have to say as long as you are a knowledgable person.
A little bit of philosophy is also fun from time to time.

Currently I am studying Biomedical Laboratory Sciences at the KHLim in Diepenbeek, Belgium. Outside of school I usually hang out with friends, watch movies or play cardgames.

Remembering useless stuff and forgetting important stuff.
Procrastinating.
Giving feedback to other people.

Apart from books for studying I dont read as much as I used to.
THe most influential books I have read are definately The Illiad by Homerus, Lord of the Rings and most Jeffery Deaver books. One book I look forward to reading if I ever can make the time is the God Delusion.

My favourite movies are horror movies, but I will watch any movie that is unconventional or weird. I'm willing to sit down and watch any movie that isnt Romantic Comedy though, you will need a VERY good reason to convince me.

I barely watch any tv shows but I do watch every episode of the Big Bang Theory and How I Met Your Mother online.

My preferred genre of music is metal, to be specific the bands Belphegor and Behemoth, but you can often find me listening to more popular music like the lonely island (I'm a sucker for parodies) or David Guetta and similiar artists.

When it comes to food I'm a traditionalist. I dont really like trying out new types of food or foreign food but my favourite meals include steak with french fries, or Italian food. I dont really like vegetables though but I make sure i get my vitamins because I drink a lot of soup.

Everything and nothing. I'm constantly thinking about what people say or do or, pancakes, or other random stuff. My mind keeps switching between certain trains of thought without me asking for it.
It is an advantage to be able to proces several different sources of information while debating with myself in my head though.
