My Notes edit

My self-summary

I'm an 20 year old full-time University student and Cognitive Science major (Computer Science minor), fairly political, polite in most company, and VTLA (Vulnerable to Laugh Attacks). I have many disconnected passions (listed in the fields below), and I'm usually willing to try something new so long as it doesn't mean dismemberment or some other bodily mutilation.

I'd like to meet someone who can teach me something, be it technical, cultural, or whatever. When I can, I also love to teach others and experiment with ways of expressing knowledge and concepts. Exchanging ideas is something almost sacred to me, and I hope it is to you, too!

With that said, I would LOVE it if you were sXe ("straight-edge"), since anything else seems to get in the way of the stuff in the first paragraph, now doesn't it? I'd like it if you were willing to come hang out (and by that I actually do mean hang out) at my place or yours and be a "mescallent" friend. More bluntly: we needn't drink, smoke, screw, or dope up to have a good time. I'm not about that stuff and I hope you aren't either.

Some miscellaneous personal facts:

-I speak Japanese. (lived there for half of my life)

-I'm a bit of a chocolate and cheese guy. If you have Manchego, you can roll with me, hehe.

-I grow chile peppers. There is a picture of some of my babies with my other profile pics.

-I plan to make a financial killing off of foreign industrial hemp investments and domestic hemp once it becomes legal. I also actively push for hemp legislation reform.

-Yes, I can fix your computer.

What I'm doing with my life

Studying hard, cooking Japanese food, and hoping that the two get me an enjoyable job 2 years from now... Sometimes I wonder if I'm headed down the right career path, but the powers that be tell me that this is what I want to do. I think I should do whatever they recommend without any question. :)

I also care for and feed my baby: my newly-built, CA-legal AR15-style rifle (soda cans and paper targets tremble in fear). And no matter what the "Zombie Survival Guide" says, THE AK47 IS NOT A BETTER RIFLE. You are, however, welcome to debate this with me.

I'm really good at

Squash (it beats racquetball any day), programming your TI-83 calculator, computer stuff, getting really lost, snowboarding, ethnobotany, (legally) getting free things, lockpicking with simple locks - something everyone should learn, jumping fences, spotting motion detectors.

The first thing(s) people usually notice about me

Would probably be my pseudo-Jew 'fro (it's neither a 'fro, nor am I Jewish). My complete lack of style comes in close second, followed by the geek stick that is always hanging around my neck. If you get close enough, you can see the dark bags under my eyes... Alright, that's a bit too close, pal.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: Idoru, f2f, The Illustrated Man, Invisible Cities, The Art of Deception, The Art of Intrusion, A Canticle for Leibowitz, anything Ray Bradbury, most of the world's religious texts, Mao's Little Red Book, Roget's Thesaurus, 2600 Magazine, Worst Case Scenario Handbook(s).

Movies: Memento, Boondock Saints, The Shadow, Freedom Downtime, THX 1138, Hackers (so bad that it's good), Loose Change, America: Freedom to Fascism, The Professional, The Pledge, anything by Christopher Nolan, almost nothing by Tarantino.

Music: Techno/Electronica/Trance/Goa/Psy Trance/Downtempo/House, good Rap, SOME country. Lately it's been: Imogen Heap, Shpongle, the stuff on KPFK on Friday nights. Just play something for me and I'll probably like it.

Food: Asian, African, European, North American, South American, Australian, and I have not yet tried Antarctic food but I have a feeling it's pretty bland...

I know it's not supposed to be part of this field, but my fav. games are: Half-life 2, HL2: Episodes One and Two, Prey, Counter-Strike Source, DEFCON, Portal, and HL3: Episode 3 when it comes out.

The six things I could never do without

My lifeblood (my computer), lockpicks, Japanese snacks, corny humor, YTMND, hemp twine.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Agriculture, herbs, health, schoolwork, computer and physical security, research, investment, the next DEFCON.

On a typical Friday night I am

Writing code for my employer(s), taking a midnight stroll, renting a movie at the $1 movie machine (not RedBox, but the better one), finding a new restaurant, blowing up targets at the range, exploring SD...

...or most likely doing homework.

The most private thing I'm willing to admit here

...is that I have a problem admitting private things online (what kind of question is this?)

You should message me if

you have completely read, fully understand, and agree to the terms and conditions outlined in the EULA (End User License Agreement) above.

If you are down with the "self summary" info then drop me a line! I'm definitely NOT going to spam you with cyber sex solicitations or stock tips.

Besides, I wouldn't advocated short-term investing anyway.
