My self-summary
I had an entire profile written in nice, neat paragraphs about how rad I am, but as it turns out... everybody is lazier than a Snorlax and would rather just skim through my pictures instead of getting to know me. So, I'll make this as brief as possible and you can find out for yourself if I'm as rad as I believe I am!

-I joined OKC for dating and making friends. Makes a little sense, right?
-I am a nerd/gamer and it's preferable to have some common ground with the people I meet.
-I listen to a lot of heavy metal (none of that A Day to Remember or Emmure shit.) You can reference that in my music section. Again, common ground is preferable!
-I am inked with 7 (large) tattoo's. All of which are completely and utterly nerdtastic (if you're curious as to what they are, this may be a good opener conversation. Just a hint!)
-I don't club or go to bars. Maybe an occasional pub for intellectual conversation, a cold beer and fish & chips!
-I am VERY huge on alcohol responsibility and abuse. I drink and I am a responsible adult as should you be. I have a psychotic fucking hatred for drinking and driving.
-My favorite Pokémon is Jolteon
-I grew up in a very functional (Leave it to Beaver) family that taught me how to be a gentleman, have respect, morals and kindness.
-Girls who post half naked pictures or severe cleavage on this site but say "I'm not here for sex" crack me up lmao.
-My favorite series of all time is Starcraft.
-I love the TV show American Pickers to death.

I'll definitely add more to this later... I can really type up a storm, but like I said, I'll leave this brief for now.
What I’m doing with my life
I served 4 years in the Navy as an Aviation Boatswains Mate E (YouTube the Top Gun intro and look for the green guys!) aboard the aircraft carriers USS Theodore Roosevelt and USS Carl Vinson serving in Operation Enduring Freedom.

I've been employed with UPS for 8 years (4 of which have been on hold due to military service.)

I plan on returning to school and am interested in getting a degree into Public Relations / Mass Communications.
I’m really good at
I take interest in photography (http://anchorup.deviantart.com/gallery/) but I'm not sure I'd say I'm "really good." My skills thus far have earned me some money on the side and have had appreciated photos by groups of people.

I suppose some of the only things I'd consider myself "good" at are pretty much video games (YEP! I KNOW! YOU COOL REDBULL AND VODKA CLUBBERS BETTER CLOSE THIS PROFILE RIGHT AWAY OHHHH LAAAWWWWD!) I can play a mean Chun-Li in Street Fighter and rank Gold league in StarCraft (I realize gold is mediocre! Leave me alone!)

Though I'm not "really good" at many things, that doesn't mean I don't DO many things. I'll pretty much try whatever is tickling my fancy at that time.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm short for a male. Yep. You're either going to have to look at me eye to eye or look down. It's not often I find girls shorter than me. Sorry if you're one of those weirdos that don't like shorter guys (I've never figured that one out.)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Here's the section that apparently "makes or breaks" people! (or so I've been told?) I also had a huge section for this broken down paragraph by paragraph explaining my interests. So, I suppose I'll shorten this a bit too.

Books/Comics: Marvel comics are preeeeeetty much at the top of my list. The Fantastic Four are my shit. As for other things; Starcraft and high school required reading are generally the only books I read or have read. (Who says comics rot your brain? I can read, write and spell better than most people. Granted, I'm not the best but I'm sure you've seen a lot of these morons on this site.)

Movies!!: Star Wars, Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Indiana Jones and anything Kevin Smith and Arnold Schwarzenegger. There's a lot more, but I suppose you'll find in due time.

Music: Metal. Pure and simple. Anywhere from Pantera to Cannibal Corpse to Blind Guardian. None of that A Day to Remember and Suicide Silence crap.

Besides metal, I am also into industrial, various rock and jrock (WUUUUUTTT? A non-otaku listens to JROCK?) Yes, Dir en Grey happens to be tied for my favorite band. Love that shit. I also listen to some pop-ish female singers. I love Madonna, Bjork, Lorde, Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani (No Doubt).

I refuse to listen to anything that says the "N" word even once or mentions money, bitches, drive-by's, "gettin' crunk" or glorifying "the hood" for the sake of being a "gangsta." In other words: Rap, hip-hop and club music (save Lady Gaga) are the reddest of all red flags.

Food: Mexican and Hibachi are at the top of my list. Please bring a shovel to feed my face if we ever go out to eat either.
The six things I could never do without
Let me put on my hipster glasses and sweater vest for a sec.

1. Air - I totally started breathing it before it was cool.
2. Water - Yep. Before it was cool.
3. Food - I burned my mouth because I ate my burrito before it was cool.
4. My organs - Are we starting to get the point?
5. The Force - I was in the Jedi council... before it was cool.

I'm so original, ya?
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What the world would be like without the word "the"
On a typical Friday night I am
Nerding out somewhere or at a concert. Whichever happens first.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Well now, these questions escalated quickly.
