My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Chances are, I'm probably not going to message you first. I've been on this site way too long to know that 98% of you aren't going to message back. And when I do get a message it's 99% of the time "hi". I assume right off that bat that you are either stupid or not interested. Sorry to sound harsh, but it is what it is. So if you're browsing by to "like" me, then why not send me a message? I invite you to. Gotta get to know me somehow.

I'm pretty much a nerd since birth. Grew up watching Star Wars religiously, stayed up late with dad to watch Star Trek, had a Nintendo Entertainment System and none of these things have ever failed to make me happy. So, if you're not into nerdy guys, now might be a good time to stop reading.

I'm putting myself out in the dating world again. I'm mostly here to mingle, but if anything more comes out of it then I'll have to see where that goes. For now, just mingle with me will ya? I'm pretty short for a male (5'6) and an average body type. I'm not too thin and not too big. I maintain a "somewhat in-shape" lifestyle. I go on walks regularly, hiking occasionally, and work out when I'm feelin' up to it. So I'm pretty much down for any physical activities.

Navy veteran having served 4 years on the USS Theodore Roosevelt and USS Carl Vinson. Joining the Navy was my way of "what kind of cool shit can I do in my early 20's?" Well, I did it and I'm done with it. I've been out about a year and right now I've just been enjoying life and focusing on myself a little. Having to shave every day for the past 4 years, I decided to grow my beard out for a year. Soooooooo, I hope you like beards :| I'll trim it into something nice...eventually :)

I quit drinking over a year ago and it's the best decision I've made in years. Occasionally (I'm talking once every few months) I'll have a beer, but only with a fine meal or celebration. It would be preferable to find someone who doesn't drink or only drinks a little. I'm not completely opposed to it, but I'd prefer it to not get in the way. If you smoke pot, I am absolutely fine with that as I feel its effects are significantly less harmful. While on the subject, I am not the clubber type nor will I enjoy being with someone who is. It's not that I have trust issues, I just don't like the scene in general. I've seen WAY too much drama come out of it. Pubs/bars I am completely cool with and you may even convince me to have a conversation over a drink.

I enjoy traveling when I can. I don't really like driving so I don't really travel that often by myself. Normally I like to tag along on road trips with friends.

I'm an old-school gamer since birth. I'm a large fan of older titles/franchises from Mario to Half-Life. Ultimately, Blizzard is my favorite franchise as I've been a huge fan of Warcraft and Diablo since the mid-90s. I'm not so much into modern gaming as I feel newer games tend to focus on more graphics and less gameplay. I'm also an arcade lover. I'm not talking about Dave & Busters, I'm talking about arcades that have saved all the golden games through the years. Castles & Coasters has really the only good surviving arcade, but it's losing good games by the year.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've been employed with UPS since 2006. In 2010, I joined the Navy and served 4 years as an Aviation Boatswain's Mate. UPS held on to my job and seniority and I've been working there since.

I have educational benefits from the military which I am slowly using. Every other semester I plan on keeping a pattern of taking classes using my benefits. I've never really been the school type, but if the benefits are free, why not use them? It never hurts to have some education under your belt.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I've taken an interest in photography since high school. I learned from the beginning using a dark room and everything. It's been years since I've touched a dark room due to digital media... but I welcome digital media a lot more than film. Sorry film lovers, I'm more of a modern guy :) If you care to see some of my shots and edits, you can check out my work at

I'm really good at competitive games. I grew up playing things like Starcraft and Counterstrike. I'm pretty much a PC gamer entirely. The only exception outside of PC games are fighting games. I am a sucker for fighting games almost of any kind (except Tekken :|). I'm really good at Street Fighter and Guilty Gear. i can do well on both controller and arcade.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I'm short for a male. Who needs to reach medicine cabinets anyways?

Other than that, it's gotta be this beard right now.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

I really like reading Marvel comics. I'm not a total comic expert, but I've read my fair share of the main continuity. Other things I have read are books from the Starcraft series as well as Star Wars. I don't read quite often, but every once in a while I'll pick up a comic or book and indulge.

As far as movies go: The Empire Strikes Back is the best movie ever made. How can you argue with that?

TV shows: I watch a few things here and there. The TV show I'm currently obsessed with is American Pickers because I love history stuff. If I could do what Mike and Frank do on that show, I'd be in heaven. Other shows, I'm finishing up Breaking Bad and watch some animated series like Batman: The Brave and the Bold. I like superhero and 90's cartoons. When I'm editing photos, I like to stick classic things on for background noise like Hey Arnold! or Powerpuff Girls.

Music: I will always be a heavy metal lover. It's not everyone's cup of tea, but you'll have to deal with it because it's not going away. The Lords of Metal demand I give in for no one. Other than metal, I love industrial, Japanese rock/metal, and oldies. A handful of my favorite bands I'll throw at you is: Fear Factory, The Beach Boys, Dir en Grey, Coal Chamber, Meshuggah, Type O Negative, Melt Banana, Judas Priest, Polysics, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Rob Zombie... yeah, a collection of unlikely favorites.

Food: I'll eat the crap out of some Mexican food. Next on the list would just be a big fat beefy burger from some fancy grill house.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Family
2. Friends
3. Music (I'm so basic with these answers)
4. PC gaming (it's a necessity. PC MASTER RACE)
5. Metal shows
6. My little Chorizo Con Huevos (which is my Chihuahua)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
What the world would be like without the word "the"
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Nerding out somewhere or at a concert. Whichever happens first.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Well now, these questions escalated quickly.
