My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Now that I have your attention: I'm a twenty-year old, fairly masculine acting gay guy with artsy aspirations, a love of music, literature and the bizarre.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've recently moved back to my home town from Halifax and am enjoying my new found independence in living in an apartment of my own.
I'm trying to experience real life as much as possible and exploring my passions before jumping onto the post-secondary bandwagon. I'm trying to fine tune my skills as a writer in the hopes of potentially making money off of my creations and learning to play synthesizer.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
People always say I'm very polite, articulate and that I have a large vocabulary. Being well spoken is one of the things that I pride myself with. They also notice my energetic ( sometimes bordering on manic) attitude and black sense of humor.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I love horror movies, dark comedies, psychological thrillers, sci-fi, musicals, cult films and movies with a surrealistic edge to them. I love older horror movies especially, and anything with Vincent Price in it I'm down for. I'm a huge fan of David Lynch and Roman Polanski. I like films that leave a lot to the imagination and let the audience fill in the blanks with their own interpretation.

I know a lot about music and have a very strong appreciation for all sorts of genres. I was raised around music and music is in my blood. Most of my music is older than I am, but I seem to gravitate towards the alternative music of the 70's and 80's. Musically, I tend to emphasize texture and interesting sounds over melody. I like lyrics that are poetic or clever. I listen to a lot of Post Punk, Gothic Rock, Alternative Dance, Industrial, Glam Rock, Proto-Punk, Psychedellic Rock, New Wave, Art Rock, Emo Pop, and Synthpop.

I read a lot of Science fiction, horror, satire, transgressive fiction, crime, and classics. I like books that deal with metaphysical or philosophical subject matter. The more it makes me think, the better. I like crazy, larger than life characters and as far as the writing itself goes I like authors with a caustic wit. My favorite author is Philip K. Dick, followed closely by Chuck Palahniuk. I also am a big fan of the Dune Chronicles by Frank Herbert

I watch a lot of anime. A few of my favorite series are Serial Experiments Lain, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Durarara!, Excel Saga, and Madoka Magica. Most of my favorite shows are animated, with a few exceptions such as Twin Peaks and Tales from the Crypt.

I am seriously technologically behind as far as gaming goes and I often find newer games overwhelming. It never really occurs to me when I actually have money to burn to go out and buy a new system, and I am perfectly content with my Super Nintendo and my Play Station 2. I really like RPGs, especially Final Fantasy and the Mother series. I am also fond of Fighting Games like Tekken and Bloody Roar and Horror Games. I really suck at First Person Shooters and the only one I can really play with any degree of success is Goldeneye haha.

I love to cook, although this is a fairly recent hobby. I love to experiment with various spices and so far my favorite things to make are Montreal Style Steak with chopped Mini-Bello Mushrooms and Cayenne Pepper Chicken with ginger rice. My favorite quick fix is either Three Cheese Pizza Pockets or Spicy Shin Raymun Cups. I LOVE GINGER and have been known to polish off an entire case of ginger beer in one day. My favorite ice cream is Mint Chocolate Chip, especially when drenched in dark chocolate hot fudge.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Caffeine
2. Interesting books to read
3. My Zune
4. A space of my own
5. A book to record my thoughts in
6. A badass leather jacket
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I spend a lot of time wondering where my life is going and planning my next move, dreaming up ideas for stories and character designs, the consequences of life and death, trying to figure out the true motivations behind what I and others around me do. I can be a bit too analytical sometimes.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching anime and sipping wine with friends, playing Dungeons and Dragons, or howling along to David Bowie or Panic! at the Disco in a cramped car down country roads.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am a terrible hypochondriac and am prone to occasional panic attacks.
