My self-summary
Greetings! I'm a recent college graduate of Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma.

I prefer a small gathering to a large one, but really enjoy being around people. I also like my down time to relax with a book or game!

I can be proper if need be, but I also have a kind of twisted sense of humor. I love everything from potty humor to satire.

I appreciate the world around me, and try to better myself by doing so.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated with a bachelors in music degree, emphasis in opera performance. I don't only sing opera, nor do I usually sing it if I am not actively practicing. But if you are interested in that sort of thing I have some tracks online.

Currently working in the Loss Prevention division of a credit union. I find myself very drawn to administrative work, and am looking into either an Arts Administration or Business degree after taking a gap year to regroup - 16 straight years of school has been an adventure! Need something stable to support my performing habit =)

Always searching for the perfect pair of glasses to match my personality. I dream of having a whole variety of glasses to choose from on a daily basis.
I’m really good at
Being honest when someone asks me for advice or comfort. Choosing a blunt or tactful approach depending on the situation.

Seeing the humor in even the worst situation. I handle stressful situations well - like blowing a tire going 70 on the interstate.

I'm super awesome at blaming inanimate objects for their shortcomings when it's most likely operator error.
The first things people usually notice about me
Probably my height, or lack of - best things in small packages =) Then probably my glasses/eyes. I have one dimple when I get a big grin.

I have been told that I stand out in a group as the one who gets everyone else to loosen up a bit by making people laugh.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Young Adult Fantasy ex. Harry Potter, The Book Thief
Graphic novels ex. Watchmen, Killing Joke
I enjoy most Shakespeare (the histories can be brutal)
I still love reading the Sunday comics and collecting Calvin & Hobbes and Dilbert comics

Classic or modern superhero movies.
The occasional intense drama like Boy in the Striped Pajamas
Animated features, anything from Disney or Miyazaki.
Cult classics like the Labyrinth or Dark Crystal.

Buffy, Big Bang Theory, Always Sunny, South Park, Futurama, Firefly, Archer, Sherlock, Supernatural
On my list to watch: Dr. Who, Game of Thrones, How I Met Your Mother, Community

Typically I can find a song or two from any artist or band that I will enjoy. Right now I listen to whatever is playing on the radio.
I love anything that tells a compelling story.
Especially fond of soundtracks.

Alfredo on almost anything.
Teriyaki chicken
I like making stir-fry and I have just recently discovered the joys of the sweet potato.
I have also recently fallen in love with caramelized sweet onions.
I'm trying to teach myself how to cook a larger variety of meals.
The six things I could never do without
Music (both to listen and to perform)
Live shows of some sort (comedy, theater, etc.)
Eyeglasses/contacts (I would spend life running into walls)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The fact that my life can literally change in an instant depending on what choices I make. I feel like I have a lot of options and opportunities right now and I am in a very exciting place in life!
On a typical Friday night I am
Movie/game night with friends most likely.

I would love to find some establishment that has one or more of the following:
Awesome karaoke
Good food
Live music
Stand up comedy nights
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've seen the majority of those really terrible, straight to DVD Disney sequels. They are all bad, with the possible, maybe, sorta exception of Bambi II.

My dress collection is rivaled only by my graphic T-shirt collection.

I own way too many of the LEGO video games...
