My self-summary
James Bond is my mentor and The Most Interesting Man in the World is my life coach. I like to think of myself as modern day Arthur Rimbaud, if you will.

Recently my best friend paid me this compliment: “you navigate seamlessly between fun and serious, sensual and sexual, romantic and raunchy”. You can get a grasp of what I’m like from my friends prospective from this quote, and the “raunchy” part I hope is more about my sense of humor!
What I’m doing with my life
Training to be an emergency medicine doctor.
I’m really good at
1. Staying Calm
2. Thinking Fast
3. Cooking
4. Writing
5. Starting Conversations
The first things people usually notice about me
My piercing green eyes. I always get comments about them.

Beyond that, my vaguely transatlantic accent tends to come across quite quickly, but I'm always very surprised how many people can't place it.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Music: I have a very eclectic taste in music. I'll listen to anything from Beethoven to Tupac.

Books: On the off chance anyone's heard of it, my favourite book of all time is This Is Where I Leave You, a piece of pure comedic genius by Jonathan Tropper. I also enjoy reading books on science, such as A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking, The Elegant Universe by Brian Greene, and The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins.

Films: Christopher Nolan never ceases to amaze me, and I'm a huge fan of The Prestige, Inception, and even the Batman series. I think Liam Neeson did a pretty phenomenal job with Taken and Unknown, and Matt Damon was fantastic in the Bourne series of films. Although I'm really into comedy, there aren't many comedic films that I like -- I much prefer the stand up of Eddie Izzard and Jimmy Carr.

TV Shows: I don't have much time for television any more, but I'm really fond of the show How I Met Your Mother.

Food: I love cooking, and I'm open to trying pretty much everything out there.
The six things I could never do without
1. People who know more than me.
2. New places to visit.
3. Time alone.
4. Time with others.
5. Wikipedia.
6. My music collection.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The future and how to tackle it.
On a typical Friday night I am
I don't really think I have 'typical Friday nights' any more. I can variously be found drinking and socializing, trying to sort a growing list of patients in A&E, or in the library trying to revise for the next exam.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I am a big fan of Idina Menzel (aka Adele Dazeem, for all those who only speak in Travoltese).
