If I suddenly struck it rich, I think I'd spend a fair amount of money on food, travel, and having some kind of positive effect on the world at large.

I haven't actually traveled much, and I'm not too thrilled about that, so I'm working on it. My most memorable destination so far was Argentina - to visit a friend and dance tango. Looking forward to another adventure this year, somewhere in Spain.

I do consulting and project management at a tech research firm. My general philosophy is that work should bring in enough money to support an enjoyable lifestyle, while leaving enough time to actually enjoy it. Admittedly not the easiest balance to strike - but I'm trying.

Over the last 4-5 years I've spent a lot of my free time dancing and DJing Argentine tango, which has added a lot to my life. But I've decided to take a break from that in 2013 to focus attention on other things I enjoy or want to try/learn more about. Things like music/singing, art/theater, cooking, travel, other kinds of dance, my long neglected French skills, or whatever else seems interesting. And by the way - I'm always open to additions to this list....

I work out and try to eat well most of the time, but I also love good food/drink and am not afraid to indulge. I suppose you could look at this either as healthy moderation or a friendly acquaintance with the devil on my left shoulder.

Breathing on the phone when a friend just really needs someone to be there. Being outwardly gracious to obnoxious clients while inwardly thinking not-so-gracious thoughts. Baking (eating?) german chocolate cake.

I've been told I can come across as somewhat prim/proper/prudish upon first meeting. Usually I'm told this by someone who now knows me well, and finds the whole idea absurd.

Decent speakers/headphones, brunch, air conditioning, comfortable shoes, exercise, hot showers.

Meeting up with friends, or crashing at the end of a long week. Preferably the former.

I ignore messages received from total strangers on the internet who address me as "baby."
