My self-summary
I’m a sister, former mascot, Cornhusker for life. In the running for Best. Aunt. Ever. RPCV, published author, DIYer, proud Midwest transplant. Planner by nature, Consultant by trade, forever dancer. Ambitious, debt-free, game for anything… at least once.

Looking for the real deal. A best friend for starters. Someone to share adventures and the life that happens in between.
What I’m doing with my life
I tend to be at my best when I have a lot going on and fill my waking hours with people, goals, travel, and activities worthy of a further conversation.

I am a Federal Consultant - learning lots, doing good work. And when that is no longer compelling, I have a growing list of ideas for what to put on my next business card.
I’m really good at
People watching, high fiving, cooking breakfast for dinner, parallel parking, making lists (really good lists), remembering to water my plants, sending cards... through the mail, tactfully informing others to stand on the right and pass on the left of escalators.
The first things people usually notice about me

Also, I'm wearing my hair straight these days so friends and even family have to take a double-take to recognize me if I haven't seen them in a while! It's an unexpected, unintentional albeit fun little game I'm playing:)
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: A Short History of Nearly Everything - Bill Bryson
Marvin K Mooney Will You Please Go Now - Dr. Seuss
The Tipping Point - Malcolm Gladwell

Movies: The Thomas Crown Affair, Rudy, A Chorus Line, Love Actually, Seven, Little Shop of Horrors, Mannequin, Ocean's Eleven

Shows: The West Wing, So You Think You Can Dance (don't judge!), Gray's Anatomy, The League, Breaking Bad, The Newsroom, House of Cards

Music: I pick up music like I pick up accents - unexpectedly and without much effort. I like most of it and appreciate people who have an opinion about it. My iPod is usually on shuffle.

Food: Ice cream, broccoli, anything Mexican
The six things I could never do without
In no particular order...
1. Productivity
2. Ice Cream
3. Running shoes
4. Three nieces and nephew
5. College football
6. OneNote
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Buying and rehabing a house... soon!, perfect theme for any party or occasion, a dog
On a typical Friday night I am
making it up as I go. A better conversation is about what I have in store for Saturday!
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I could watch World's Strongest Man competitions for hours. I actually almost took a job planning them, but instead I'll keep it on my travel list.
You should message me if
You've read this far and are some version of interested, entertained, or intrigued. Send me a message - emails are great, but I'd like to think I'm better in person.
