My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Existential East Coast expat, now living and working at a retreat and conference center in the middle of the Willamette National Forest. A lot of our programs are designed to promote healing, well-being, community, and sustainability. I spend most of my time working in administration these days, but the kitchen will always be home. I miss the city, and would like to make a lasting friendship with someone who loves the outdoors and traveling: maybe we could get a little exchange program going, and enjoy the best of both worlds?

Though I'm a bit introspective by nature, my secret is that my passion lies with people. I enjoy watching and growing happy relationships and well as listening and analyzing the problems that arise from unhappy ones. My work ethic largely reflects my dedication to the people and ideals I love; but when I'm off the clock, you'll usually find me carefree and cutting-loose, enjoying the moment.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
A professional cook by trade (born and raised in Maryland), I moved from Philadelphia to Portland in 2012. Shortly thereafter, I found my new niche living/working as part of a member-owned retreat and conference center in the Cascades. I'm very involved in the daily business of our co-op, which includes everything from volunteer firefighting to serving on our board of directors.

One of the big perks of my job is that it allows for lots of travel. But traveling's always more fun with a friend, right? After checking a few more locations off here in the United States, I will have to start looking at more international locales!

I'm looking for a solid partner: a quirky, genuine, do-gooder, out there pulling her own, looking for life's simple pleasures in unconventional places. That: and I like talking to strangers :) First impressions are fun--you get to put it all out there!
