Just moved to New York (Brooklyn) after 5.5 years in San Francisco. Still getting used to things like cold, snow, 24-hour transit, and people always in a rush.
I graduated with my undergraduate degree from UCLA in Marine Biology (why you see me scuba diving!), and wrapped up my master's degree in public health (specifically global environmental health) at Emory. Commissioned into the Commissioned Corps of the US Public Health Service, and here for a job.
It's been slow going settling into a new city since it's been too damn cold, but looking forward to wandering out into more neighborhoods now that it's warmer...and before it gets too blisteringly hot. Humidity? What's that? *dies*
