What I’m doing with my life

I finished my MPA (Master of Public Administration) degree a little over a year ago, and I am currently working as a Substitute Teacher... I am currently seeking employment in my field (government or nonprofit)... I also devote a lot of my energy to my ministry of praise and worship through singing. I am challenging myself to join the local chapter of the MU (Musicians Union) so that I can pursue my dream of being a professional background vocalist (a little fearful; still working on that goal!)..

I’m really good at

I am good at organization and administration, singing, writing, encouraging others, and oral presentations. ... Eclectic group of strengths, huh? Well, that's me: eclectic, yet soooo normal!

After my smile ( and possibly, my outfit), people generally comment on my intelligence or my spiritual outlook on things...

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Hate to sound cheesy, but my favorite book is the Bible. I also like Christian novels... I love the movies White Chicks, all X-Men series, all Spiderman series, Something's Gotta Give, and Talladega Nights... I enjoy listening to Gospel, Contemporary Christian, Smooth Contemporary Jazz, R&B, and neo-soul.... My favorite kind of food is Mexican, followed by Italian (close second) and soul food (of course!)

The six things I could never do without

1. Jesus (He constitutes my entire existence)
2. My loved ones (family and friends): I know that people die, and people move, etc., but I couldn't bare to be without all of them at once
3. My sense of humor (it has helped me through MANY situations!)
4. My church family (love you guys!!!)
5. My car (I'm spoiled in that way; no public transportation!)
6. My television (what would I do to pass the time???!!!)
