I am honest, loyal, and compassionate.

My Self-Summary

I've never been good at at self-description... I'm a fairly open-minded individual. I don't judge; I don't criticize. I'm accepting & generous, & I'm honest. I've always been told that I'm an easy person to relax around, that I'm someone people feel safe & secure with. I'm funny (in a sarcastic, smart ass sort of way, I suppose), but I get the job done :) I have a quiet personality too, I think, in the sense that I've never been one to cause others around me to feel anxious or feel compelled to do something spectacular just to hold my attention or gain my approval. I'm generally quiet by nature, although I'm certainly not reserved (trust me), but I'm still quiet nonetheless. I'm a thinker; I think too much, to be honest, but that's probably one of my best & strongest qualities; I've helped or saved myself far more often than not. I'm intelligent & also always eager to learn. I'm "good company," I think; I've been described as being "warm" by friends & such, & I think that's probably one of the best compliments I've ever received. I'm trustworthy, loyal and dependable, but... I'm also crazy wild in my own way. I like to have fun; I like to cut loose & I enjoy being silly or "stupid" even just for the sole purpose of doing it.

What I’m doing with my life

I'm back in school, focusing obtaining that degree... I'm primarily focusing on raising my 2 beautiful children; that's foremost in my mind... it's so, so important I do it right & it's the most challenging, yet rewarding task I've ever encountered.

I’m really good at

Understanding people; I have a knack for "reading between the lines," hearing what isn't said just as well as I hear what is said.

The first things people usually notice about me

My calmness & quiet nature, I think.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

For movies: The Power of One, Dead Man on Campus, Dazed & Confused, Elizabethtown, Grosse Point Blank (huge John Cusack fan!), Ace Ventura (all of them, baby!), Interview with the Vampire, The Curious Life of Benjamin Button, Mallrats, Empire Records, The Curve, The Usual Suspects, Wanted... um, the list seriously goes on & on

For music: I'm an HUGE Elvis Presley fan!! HUGE! I absolutely love his gospel; nothing sounds better to me than to hear his voice sing gospel... there's a passion there, a real passion & belief behind each word he sings & that's so powerful to me because it's so, so rare nowadays I think. I enjoy all of his music (of course), but what I most enjoy & appreciate about Elvis Presley is that he really could do it all: rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, rhythm & blues, gospel, soul, country... you name it, he did it & it was unique enough that you can't hear a song, whatever genre it might be & not know that it's Elvis Presley singing... & that's also another rarity in today's music scene.

I really listen to all types of music, with the exception of heavy metal, I think. I don't listen to rap all that much anymore; I enjoy rap music that serves a point; the song has to have a meaning behind it that doesn't lead back to "bitches," drugs or unnecessary violence, & I don't like songs that refer to that "thug life," which lately seems to be more of an accessory, a stage prop if you will, than an actual way of life, at least for that artist.

I love Tupac Shakur's music... Everything he spoke of was real to him, he lived it & experienced it & there were no "airs" about any of it; it was just gritty. Rap music is supposed to be poetry set to rhythm & Tupac, in my opinion, was very much a poet. I'm also an avid listener of Eminem's music as well, for exactly the same reason. He's also extremely (frighteningly so) talented & his lyrics are unveiled & raw... & so, so clever.

Bands I cannot be without at any given point in time: Green Day, Sublime & Matchbox 20...

My CD case is extremely diverse, trust me. You'll find everything from Debussy to Marilyn Manson in there.

The six things I could never do without

1. My children
2. Good books
3. MUSIC
4. My laptop
5. Iced Chai Lattes (from Starbucks preferably)
6. 3 Cheese Bread smothered in cajun powder (Hungry Howies)

I spend a lot of time thinking about

EVERYTHING!! I think way too much...

On a typical Friday night I am

Um, seriously (& this is probably sad), I'm with my children... maybe watching some Disney show or movie... Maybe I'm curled up somewhere reading or writing on my laptop...

& on the off chance I am out & about, I'm most likely at a coffee shop or something similar in atmosphere with a few good friends, laughing & enjoying good conversation.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

NOTHING

You should message me if

If you're interested in meeting someone knew, someone different & I promise, someone interesting & definitely entertaining...
