My Self-Summary
What I’m doing with my life
I’m really good at
The first things people usually notice about me
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
For music: I'm an HUGE Elvis Presley fan!! HUGE! I absolutely love his gospel; nothing sounds better to me than to hear his voice sing gospel... there's a passion there, a real passion & belief behind each word he sings & that's so powerful to me because it's so, so rare nowadays I think. I enjoy all of his music (of course), but what I most enjoy & appreciate about Elvis Presley is that he really could do it all: rockabilly, rock 'n' roll, rhythm & blues, gospel, soul, country... you name it, he did it & it was unique enough that you can't hear a song, whatever genre it might be & not know that it's Elvis Presley singing... & that's also another rarity in today's music scene.
I really listen to all types of music, with the exception of heavy metal, I think. I don't listen to rap all that much anymore; I enjoy rap music that serves a point; the song has to have a meaning behind it that doesn't lead back to "bitches," drugs or unnecessary violence, & I don't like songs that refer to that "thug life," which lately seems to be more of an accessory, a stage prop if you will, than an actual way of life, at least for that artist.
I love Tupac Shakur's music... Everything he spoke of was real to him, he lived it & experienced it & there were no "airs" about any of it; it was just gritty. Rap music is supposed to be poetry set to rhythm & Tupac, in my opinion, was very much a poet. I'm also an avid listener of Eminem's music as well, for exactly the same reason. He's also extremely (frighteningly so) talented & his lyrics are unveiled & raw... & so, so clever.
Bands I cannot be without at any given point in time: Green Day, Sublime & Matchbox 20...
My CD case is extremely diverse, trust me. You'll find everything from Debussy to Marilyn Manson in there.
The six things I could never do without

3. MUSIC
4. My laptop
5. Iced Chai Lattes (from Starbucks preferably)
6. 3 Cheese Bread smothered in cajun powder (Hungry Howies)

On a typical Friday night I am
& on the off chance I am out & about, I'm most likely at a coffee shop or something similar in atmosphere with a few good friends, laughing & enjoying good conversation.
