I am minty, chivalrous, and on tempo.

My Self-Summary

I'm someone who doesn't mind being alone, and in fact, prefers it over being with the wrong person. I'd like to meet someone funny and kind, who laughs at my jokes.

I'll tell you some good stuff: I am trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, *, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. Just like a boyscout, minus the molestation. *For those of you den-mothers who may have noticed, I left off obedient because I'm not a dog. I make a good living (own my own house and car), I'm easy on the eyes and wild in the sack. I'm enjoying my job as a IT tech. If not fixing computers or networks or printers (or again explaining the beauty of network attached storage), I'm remodeling the new house in West Seattle. I'm a jack of many, many, many trades. Always eager to learn and expand on the skill set.

***I have an 8 year old son. He is perfect though. Totally unlike me. ;-) (Not at all a flaw but potentially a deterrent to some single women I think.) He spends most school breaks with me, otherwise he lives with his mom in Texas.

More about me? OK. I can fix your computer; I can fix your printer; I love to ski but do not go as often as I wish I could; I sleep in on the weekend mornings; I have very quick reflexes; I can keep a beat; I can both amuse and be amused easily; laid-back women are very sexy to me; I like to travel to warm sunny and exotic places; kids and animals usually really like me and vice versa; I'm not a gambler unless I know who/what the "sure-thing" is; I love accents; I am a cat person vs. a dog person but strictly only with regard to ownership; I'm not a vegan/vegetarian; I am a former smoker; I am a current occasional drinker; I am done with the club scene; I love it when someone recommends a good book; I bend over backwards for my friends; a sense of humor is important me; spelling, grammar and punctuation are important to me; honesty is essential; I do not watch a ton of sports and do not follow teams (usually) unless Seattle is doing well; I sneak movie quotes into casual conversations to see who is paying attention; when I catch the look on someone's face as they are falling (you know, the "oh, my God, I'm gonna' wipe out!" face) I cannot help but to laugh hysterically; I solve puzzles with my ingenuity and dilemmas usually just by listening; I make my bed every day; Hablo espanol bastante bien (although I don't wanna' take time to figure out how to insert the accent marks); I know a little ASL; my eyes change color but are usually green; I typically only dance while inebriated or alone (or both); I am in good shape despite my lack of exercise; I can melt you with a kiss if I so choose.... but, I sometimes have a hard time deciphering WHEN to go in for the first one; I sing, hum and whistle all the time; I have acted professionally; I have worked on a construction site, in a video store, a pawn shop, a grocery store and now with computers for a huge NFP health care org; I clean up well and do not mind an occasional night out but usually prefer a intimate night in; I can be heavily sarcastic but in a funny vs rude way; my coffee has cream and sugar or my mocha is flavored with mint; I am a Christian but do not attend church religiously (pun intended); I forgive and forget; my word is my bond; a person is generally only as good as the company they keep... my company is rad; I still will sometimes use words like 'rad'; I spill off into tangents and will drag you with me constantly unless you're careful; you must use 'there', 'their' and 'they're' correctly when writing to me; I like Red Robin burgers; Walk Hard was the last hilarious movie I saw... before that it was Superbad; I love hole-in-the-wall bars with pool and darts; I carry no baggage from my ex(s) and would prefer you to not either... or at least pack light; not into politics; will try just about anything twice.. to make sure; I am addicted to caffeine; I have jumped out of a airplane multiple times; I love to help others; my favorite colors are blue and green; I own 7 pair of shoes and they each have a purpose; my son is the most important thing in the world to me; my son does NOT need a replacement mom; I have many stories that begin with the phrase "when I was young and stupid..."; I like candy; I am repulsed by conceited people; I practice sarcasm religiously, but no actual religion religiously; my actions are often guided more by my heart then my head; people I love come before everything; I am not incredibly indecisive; I love giving gifts; hate it when people are mad at me; I rarely make New Year's resolutions but when I make a resolution I keep it; I am abnormally optimistic about most things; I can be a grammar snob sometimes; I tend to ramble when writing; I would prefer if someone told me outright that they were not interested rather than just ignoring my advances/flirtations/messages; honesty ROCKS!; be true to thine self

I have a long list of things I want to do that includes:
* Teaching my son to be a GOOD man
* Learning to play the guitar
* Traveling more
* Getting better at photography
* Go skydiving again
* Writing and/or producing a movie
* Becoming an internationally known rock star
* Meeting my real father
* Traveling in space
* Traveling through time (lol)
* Curing someone's love-sickness
* Making a difference in the world

Who am I looking for: Be intelligent. Be adventurous. Be creative. Be cool. Like kids. Like laughing. Be sarcastic. Pick your battles. Be kind. Be sweet. Have good morals. Turn me on. Be fun. I'm looking for a friend. Not just any friend... a best friend.

Usually the first thing people are attracted to about me is NOT my mind. Romantically, I am equally guilty of being somewhat selective about appearance (I generally prefer HWP women) but at this point, the emotional attraction needs to be equal to the physical. No picture(s) = I'll ask.

What I’m doing with my life

Working at work, working at home, playing, taking care of myself, taking care of playing with myself (lol), and enjoying every day.

I made my first test. Want to see if you are compatible with me? Please read my whole profile (yes, I know it's long... I can be a windbag at times) and then look at the bottom for the link. Do well enough and you should most definitely contact me... for both our sakes.

I’m really good at

Fixing computers/printers/phones/electronics (what I do for a living), skiing (since I was 2), ping-pong (bring it!), pool (I WILL own a pool table one day! This I swear!), darts (Trip-twenty... got it!), chillin' with friends (Can you chill?), watchin' movies (see below) and of course video games. I do such a variety of things it would take some time to write it all down. From skydiving, paint-balling, and ATV's to football, horeshoes and badmitton.

The first things people usually notice about me

This is, of course, debateable... Oh.. I don't know... what do YOU think?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

[Books:] Michael Crichton, Dan Brown, Douglas Adams, Stephen King, Anne Rice and Tim Hill. I like a good read but don't follow the critics for the most part. If you have a great one to recommend, please do so.

[Movies:] Van Wilder, Grandma's Boy, Super Troopers, LOTR, Office Space, Goodfellas, Die Hard, The Princess Bride, Pulp Fiction, 50 First Dates, Underworld, The First Power, Friday, Friday After Next, Old School, almost anything by Kevin Smith, Chasing Amy, Dogma, A Lot Like Love, Love Actually, Dazed and Confused (plus a great soundtrack), Fight Club, Stargate, Cube, Heat, Austin Powers, So I Married an Axe Murderer (Mike Myers rocks!), Pirates of the Carribean series, Predator series, Star Wars (Classic vs. remastered and "enhanced"), The Transporter, Happy Gilmore, Indiana Jones (all), X-men (all), Back to the Future (all), Hero, Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Kill Bill (vol 1 & 2), 28 Days Later, Dawn of the Dead, Shawn of the Dead, most M. Night Shyamalan stuff, 23, super-hero flicks, Across the Universe, Walk Hard, Superbad, 10,000 b.c., this list could go on forever. I watch A LOT of movies, plus I worked at a video store for 2.5 years a long time ago. Working on 800+ DVD collection just for grins.

[Music:] I like almost all music. From Rap to Rock to Regee. Classical (I played the trumpet for 8 years) to Pop to R&B. Latin, Jazz, Techno, Accapella, etc. I prefer upbeat stuff to blues because, let's face it, wouldn't you rather be happy than sad? I must admit, however, that I can only handle small doses of Country, Death Metal and Polka.

[Foods:] I'm easy when it comes to food. I have a high metabolism, so my weight has not altered much in the past 10-15 years. (I currently weigh about 180-185 lbs. At 6'1", it makes me close to HWP.) I'll try anything once... sometimes twice, just to be sure. Favorites include, but are not limited to, Italian (pizza, pasta, whatever...), American (nothing like a good home grilled hamburger), even Frozen (meals-in-a-bag... they are surprisingly good). Pass on the tofu. On Veganism: I see the point but it's not for me.

The six things I could never do without

Hmmm... let's see... Sleepy, Bashful, Dopey, Happy, Sneezy and Doc. Grumpy can piss off.

Well, OK... actually:

1. My son.

2. Good friends.

3. Electricity.

4. Computers. Without them, none of this would be possible... plus I would be out of a job.

5. Love.

6. The staples. (And by that I mean food, water and sleep. Can't get enough nappy-time sometimes.

OK, so number 6 technically has three things. I know. Does that mean I'm disqualified?

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Finding a nice woman with simlar interests. It shouldn't be this difficult. I'm more than a great guy! I'm a freakin' AWSEOME guy!!! No, SERIOUSLY... ask around! ;-)

On a typical Friday night I am

Usually hangin' with friends. We could be doing just about anything. Wanna' come along?

If alone, playin' on the PC, reading, watchin' a(some) movie(s). Usually staring at a glowing box in one form or another.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I love to cuddle.

You should message me if

You like charming and attractive geeks... better yet, you are one too.

You like 'hangin' in' more than 'going out' but are equally good at both... better yet, you like to cook too.

You are kind, respectful and sociable.

You may have clicked me because you thought I was attractive. That's a good start. Now I challenge you to get to know me. Ask me anything.

UPDATE - I have become slightly irratated by the droves of less-than-worthy dudes flooding the mailboxes of the women I find appealing which results in my introductory message being either lost in a sea of drivel or skipped over altogether. Therefore, if you think I MAY be someone with whom you would like to get to know... WRITE ME! I will reciprocate in kind, I promise.
