My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
A dog looking for a spot of sun on the hardwood floor.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Well, I'm living in New York City, working at a law firm, playing roller derby, practicing circus arts, fitfully trying to read and write fiction, and riding my bike to and fro. Karaoke could happen anywhere in between all that.

Roller derby is a very big part of my life right now. I manage a women's team and play on a men's team. I have poured my heart into this sport, and in return it has literally taken me across the globe. I'm looking for someone who appreciates this, has passions of her own, and is excited to share them with people.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
dressing for an occasion, losing track of the day, reading two pages of something before falling asleep, roller skating, a couple of different circus arts.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I'm more crass than I first let on. That I've got moves. And then I guess my eyes.

Oh, and my indubitable charm.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Let's just say:

Books: Most things by Vladimir Nabokov (Lolita is perfect, but Pnin and The Real Life of Sebastian Knight are actually my favorites). Edmund White, John Banville, W.G. Sebald.

Podcasts: the memory palace, Reply All, Benjamen Walker's Theory of Everything, 99% Invisible, Hello Internet, Strangers.

Movies: Man on Wire, Up, Dear Zachary, Hoop Dreams, It's Such a Beautiful Day.

TV: All things David Attenborough, Star Trek, The Adventures of Pete and Pete

Music: Prince, Shearwater—and I think the noblest reason to travel through time would be to bring every member of the human race back to Miami in 1963 and see Sam Cooke play one of the best shows that has ever been played.

Food: Bagels. Ethiopian. Full Breakfast.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My bookshelf, bagels, juggling clubs, peanut butter, roller derby twice a week, and some time to just sit.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to spell "Karaoke." How I can get eight hours of sleep tonight.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
a nincompoop, engaging in nincompoopery.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I laughed while typing "nincompoopery."
