My self-summary
I like to make lists and I feel the best way to summarize myself is by listing things that I have done in my lifetime:

-I went to Queen's and did a degree in English and Philosophy. Or at least that's what the paper says. Truthfully, I majored in Snobbery.

-I moved to Ottawa to take a Scriptwriting program because I loved the city instead of choosing a more practical option.

-I took in a stray cat because winter was coming. She's originally from Parkdale so she's not quite right in the head.

-I spent 8 months only watching Canadian produced television (the only blotch on my otherwise perfect record for those months was an incident with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir)

-I once fit 3 onions inside a balloon (a regular sized balloon, no special or fancy balloons)

I am nerdy, witty, and spirally
What I’m doing with my life
That is a very good question that I ask myself daily. I am trying my hand at this whole writing business while rocking a day job in order to afford food which may or may not be important.
I’m really good at
-Analyzing 16th century literature
-Memorizing meaningless pop culture references
-Catching things
The first things people usually notice about me
Besides my overwhelming good looks, my awkward, awkwardness. It's really something to behold.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
books: Time Traveller's Wife, The Heart is an Involuntary Muscle, The Lost Garden, Generation A, The Year of Living Biblically, and All my Friends are Dead
authors: Douglas Coupland, Nick Hornby, Chuck Klosterman

movies: Little Miss Sunshine, Lars and the Real Girl, Royal Tennebaums, The Trotsky, The Godfather, Away We Go, The Fantastic Mr.Fox, and Clue.

shows: Community, Arrested Development, Stargate (SG-1, Atlantis and Universe because what female doesn't?), Grey's Anatomy (no judging) and Wonderfalls. More so than anything else, I enjoy watching Canadian shows especially jPOD, Slings and Arrows, Being Erica and King.

music: I used to have a really good answer to this which made I thought made me seem deep but was probably more cliche than anything. I don't really have favourite bands anymore and just listen to whatever I want to at the moment whether that's Coldplay or Ke$ha or even Jim Croce.

food: I like food. I'm generally willing to try any food but typically avoid tomatoes and bananas as a life choice.
The six things I could never do without
(1) family and friends and pets
(2) books/movies
(3) My computer and internet
(4) peanut butter
(5) sunshine
(6) pillows (seriously, try and imagine a life without pillows)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How Canadians don't support their own film and television community. I find it incredibly sad and frustrating. I will go on at length about it to anybody who brings it up ... which is usually no one but for some reason, this has become my crusade.
On a typical Friday night I am
Around. For the last few Friday nights I have been: at a drag show, at home recovering from the week, on a bus, at a friend's house. Stuff happens.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I have small feet. For some reason, this seems to be the one thing everybody feels the need to point out about me. Yes, I have small feet and now that it has been covered here, we can move on with our lives.
