I am Kinetic, quick, and caring.

My Self-Summary

I'm an Archaeology turned Cultural Anthropology major at Western Washington University, and I intend to go into a field wildly unrelated to my degree: I want to make a living as a stunt-man and martial artist for films and stage. I love martial arts, Parkour, biking, running, anything that I can do outside to get my fix of endorphins. I tend to focus on how a person handles themselves and interacts with their environment first, and paying attention to how they interact with myself and others after I get some idea of the first.

What I’m doing with my life

Training up to become a Stunt-man.

Performing as a stuntman in student films, independent films, or just whatever will let me practice and apply what I've learned.

Working at WWU's ATUS Video Services, editing together video, running teleconferences, and taping classes and lectures.

I’m really good at

Martial Arts, making people feel welcome, coming up with interesting new recipes and improving on old standards in my repertoire, defusing tense situations before anyone does anything stupid. Improvising. Making people comfortable with something they usually are scared of.

The first things people usually notice about me

The obvious thing is that I'm a huge guy. I am 6'6" tall and change, and I weigh around 220lbs in my skivvies. I have an athletic build, and I like to think that I cut a striking figure.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

-Books-
The Book of Five Rings, The Art of War, The Dresden Files, Tinker, Shogun, World War Z, Watchmen, uncounted other novels, and my Archaeology textbooks.

An addendum: My absolute favorite genre in general is the Post Apocalyptic story. How humanity will recover or degrade after a total paradigm shift in how our world operates fascinates me.

-Movies-
The Departed, 300, District 9, Finding Nemo, District B13, The Bourne Identity, Accepted, V for Vendetta, Ratatouille, The Legend of Drunken Master, cheesy old 70's kung fu movies, the Doctor Who television series, Speed Racer (it's like skittles for your eyes), Blackhawk Down. I'm a sucker for movies that look good and don't cut corners with the stunt-work.

-Music-
LAOS, Ratatat, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Queens of the Stone Age, Lamb of God, Matisyahu, Blue Scholars, a couple Funk bands local to the Pacific Northwest.
-Food-
Pasta (There is so much more to it than Spaghetti/linguine/angel hair and tomato sauce), Gyros, Doner Kebabs, Lamb Marsala, Lamb Vindaloo, Thai Food, Anything as spicy as possible, quality pizza, salmon, game meats, Nachos, mashed potatoes with a ton of garlic in them, Steamer Clams, dozens of other tasty things. I won't even bother tallying up the beers and booze I am in love with.

Except to mention Sailor Jerrys, and perhaps Dogfishhead brewery's Midas Touch beer, that stuff is amazing.

The six things I could never do without

Competition, companionship, some form of physical release (exercise is the best stress relief I know), my family, comfortable (practical) clothing, and music.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

All the things I want to have done by the time I'm 30

Whether I can afford another beer tasting night at my favorite tap-house.

Whether I will ever get to own a pub of my own, and if so where would I have it.

On a typical Friday night I am

Drinking with friends at my place to save money on booze (bars overcharge for what I could mix myself with a bit of prep), editing together a personal video project, watching a movie, or playing some video game I didn't want to buy and thus must beat within the 5 day rental period.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I am terrified of Moths, they just creep me out far more than they should.

I occasionally wear a Hakama. It's comfortable to hang around in, and people's reactions are entertaining.

You should message me if

I interest you, and my photos/profile don't scare you away.

If you like tall guys.

If you want to talk post-apocalyptic fiction.
