I'm a transplant in LA from Canada and really appreciate how much
being here has given me a different perspective on my country. I am
inquisitive and love conversations that can go on forever and take
unexpected turns. Like the Sunday drive of conversations.
Interesting, meandering and with no set agenda. I can have fun
almost anywhere and don't mind being silly if it will make my
friends laugh. I try to see both sides on most issues and really
enjoy a good debate, as long as it is respectful on both sides. I
love to go for walks and I'm enjoying all the pockets in this city,
it really does have so much to offer. The museums, the theatres, the parks, the

What I'm doing with my life
I work in the insurance industry as an executive. I know this
sounds really dull and boring, but I enjoy it and am good at it and
it presents a challenge almost every day, so that keeps me engaged.
In my spare time I take courses because learning is a passion of
mine. I am working towards a degree in Business Management.
I do also flex my creative muscle, but in true creative fashion, I'm more scattered with those endeavors. I write short stories, poetry and have a novel in the works. I paint and draw. I also do "craft" type projects, like knitting, crochet and even sewing. What is the saying "Jack of all trades, master of none"? It seems to fit.

My eyes, my hair and my smile are what people usually comment on
first. Now, if that's what they notice first...I can't say.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
I love to read and couldn't limit it to a few favourite books or
authors. I have loved everything by Christopher Moore, Jasper
Fforde and Roald
Dahl. I could read The Passion of New Eve over and over again
and always find something in it to think about. I just read
Shelfmonkey and adored it. It spoke to me as an avid reader.
Vonnegut rocks my world. The list goes on and on.
I also love movies. Yes, it's girlie but Amelie is good, quirky fun. I just saw Slumdog Millionaire and LOVED it. Yay Danny Boyle. I like movies that are either silly and mindless fun like Night at the Roxbury or Austin Powers or quirky and creative like A Clockwork Orange or Brazil, and also deep movies that make me think like Shawshank Redemption. I also really like cartoons, they are a great escape.
With music, it all depends on my mood. Let's just say almost everything excluding techno.
I am allergic to strawberries and chocolate and I am aware how strange it is for a female not to want chocolate. Cilantro and extreme spice I can also do without.
