My self-summary
I work full-time, but enjoy going out with friends whenever the chance presents itself. Equally, I enjoy spending time at home, watching movies and shows, reading, or gaming.
Recently(ish) moved to IA, started new job and am really glad that I moved from a cold place to an equally cold place that as gotten snow dumped on it twice as hard.
If I had to describe myself as a type, I'm a dork. I enjoy video games, and the only sport I actually enjoy following is baseball (and soccer).
In general, I am an easy-going individual but an introvert so it takes me longer to open and feel comfortable around people.
I will freely admit that I am terrible at keeping up with these types of sites. I am much more likely to respond through my ps4 or lol account if you track me down that way. No promises, but it is more likely.
What I’m doing with my life
New job, hooray. It's a job, and I do like my coworkers, so I would say that it is going well. It's different.
As for activities, I enjoy games of all types -- video, board, card; a friend recently got me into playing lol, which I enjoy but am equally angry about because I have been introduced to yet another game that I invest more time in than I should. I rollerblade (poorly), play badminton (decently) and have gotten into a collectable card game (never thought it would happen). Life is busy, but it's currently good. I won't be sad to see the snow and cold go, as I really would like to pursue more active past-times, but it's the price I pay for moving from one cold location to another.
I’m really good at
Math. Just kidding, I am absolutely terrible at it.
I AM a good listener, and tend to have a fairly positive outlook on life.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm shy, so people usually take note that I am quiet and reserved when you first meet me, but once I've gotten comfortable around someone I become much more chatty and open. The other thing anyone would notice about me is that I smile, a lot. Like, all the time.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: I enjoy science-fiction/fanstasy mostly, by authors such as Anne Bishop, Patricia Briggs, and Charlaine Harris.
Movies: Not a fan of horror/thriller movies, but a good thriller/suspense movie is fine from time to time, and mostly I enjoy action and humor types. One of my favorite movies would have to be The Shawshank Redemption.
Shows: The Daily Show, The Walking Dead, Archer, SoA,New Girl.
Music: Open to almost any genre, favorites are always changing depending on mood.
Food: Italian and Chinese. Noodles, noodles, noodles...
The six things I could never do without
Friends/Family - Cliche perhaps, but I do highly value the connections of people close to my heart and affections.
iPhone - I can't even remember what it was like before I had my cell phone
Chocolate - I am a chocoholic...
Socks - I hate, HATE having cold or clammy feet.
A soft, warm blanket - Yes, I live in Minnesota but I hate the cold.
Chocolate - Can I list this twice? It's importance cannot be overstated.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Chocolate. I mean, it's delicious.
On a typical Friday night I am
Spending time with friends, grabbing a bite to eat or maybe going out to a bar. Other times, just staying in and kicking back, watching a movie or playing lol. I spend way too much time watching vids on lol or playing lol these days...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I don't appreciate people taking their pants off, willy-nilly like in my presence - this is actually just a running joke amongst my friends, who at some point, have all removed their pants while in my presence, for some reason or another.
You should message me if
You like games, of almost any variety. Or are looking for a gaming buddy.
