I am amicably divorced with two amazing adult daughters and one adorable grandson. Family is important to me as I hope it is for you.

I love traveling and setting out on new adventures. I hope to find someone who likes being near or on the water, cuddling by a fire, exploring the world right at our doorstep as well as discovering the world which we have only dreamed about seeing.

I'd like to cultivate a friendship which will grow into a long-term relationship of trust and open communication and of making each other laugh.

I have been a civilian ocean engineer with the Navy for 32 years and I am now the Educational Outreach Coordinator at a Navy Laboratory, here in the DC area. I work with students and teachers to bring engineering projects into the elementary, middle and high school classroom.

For fun, I am learning to kayak, and I paddle competitively on a dragon boat team. I love to travel when I have the chance – recently I’ve enjoyed teaching students to build underwater sea gliders in Alaska and gone kayaking in Costa Rica, where my daughter and grandson live.
