My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am not looking for anyone at this time.

---A WORD OF ADVICE: Don't judge me too quickly based on my words on this profile. I get the feeling I tend to come off completely different here than I am in person. Read as much as you can stomach before forming an opinion. And remember to laugh at me as much as possible, because that's usually what I am hoping for.---

I tend to intellectualize and overthink everything, but I am also quite a goof ball. Sometimes my humor is a bit dryer and unintentionally caustic but it doesn’t cease. A person with the ability to see the real person that lies inside another will come to appreciate and even love me and the way I am. Shallow people and easily annoyed people will dislike me, but I implore you to give me a chance.

I seem to like activities that others see as boring. And ideal night to me is renting a few movies and ordering some pizza. Walking in the park, going to movies, or even finding somewhere that still has putt-putt golf make for awesome activities, but skydiving, rock climbing and white water rafting just seems too over the top. If a date/girlfriend wants to do something a bit more exciting, I would definitely be down for it, but would probably not come out with the idea on my own.

I believe I am a blast to be around despite what first impressions are.

Although I am extremely tolerant of everyone I meet, I am a Christian through and through, and I am also a conservative (there goes the stereotype, eh?). If you don't know what that is, then you haven't been tainted yet. If you feel that that is an automatic deal breaker, then I would have to ask who the close-minded one is... ;)

I am an ex-punk rocker. I still love the music, and I still think and believe the same way as I did 10 years ago, so for practical purposes, I'm not an "ex" punk, but seeing as I am not as obnoxious as I used to be, and I just don't quite look the part of the wild, liberty spiked hair, leather jacket with pins and buttons, torn ridiculous pants, etc, I just don't come off as one anymore. But if my old band mates were to want to get together and jam, I would be so down for that, lol.

I am Mutant, Ninja, and Turtle (This was the phrase that used to be at the top of the profile page where they asked you for three words that described you.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am currently an electrician/machinist/welder/fabricator. If you know what all those things are, then awesome. If not; don't worry about it. :D Although it would be considered a tad late in my life, I am actually looking to pursue a job in law. Not just a paralegal or a low level advocate, but a full fledged attorney. And although it's sounds extremely boring to most, I think contract law would be my best area to enter, as I love to argue and I love to seek out holes in rules and wordings.

I don't suppose I am painting a really intriguing picture here, am I? lol
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
...reading people. This has has caused contention with many because they quickly find they can not hide much from me, let alone lie to me. Sometimes, strange as it may be, I can look at someone and barely hear them talk and know what's going on in their life.

(Although, this often doesn't work when I like a girl and she is nice to me. I can never tell if she is nice because she is just nice, or because she is into me. It often causes me to beat around the bush because I just can't tell what her motives are. I have thought that a girl liked me before and then asked her out only to make her attitude change towards me to the extent of ignoring me. It's odd.)

Also, I am good at my job. I am a great problem solver. Puzzles, math problems, giving advice to friends, etc. I am a little too good at Tekken Tag, lol. It's a fighting game from the late 90s, early 2000s. Also pretty good at... well, I'm not sure I should talk about that here. ;)

Oh, almost forgot. I love playing drums, and I'd like to think that I am pretty damn good, but I don't go bragging about how amazing I am like other people do... *flexes drumming muscles*
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Hmm... Really not sure. I don't think I'm really stand-outish until I start to talk. Then I suppose people usually notice my affinity to wordy conversation and my intelligence. I occasionally get a "wow, you're smart!" after talking to someone for a bit, lol. Though many do find it annoying after a bit, but we won't talk about them.

However, sooner or later girls usually comment something to the effect of "you have really pretty eyes." I used to not like that... of course that was when I was a little kid and being pretty was bad.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Gosh, I get asked about reading books all the time, but I'm not much of a book reader. I liked Dune, and I've read quite a few Star Trek novels, but not much outside of that. I of course love the Bible. Aside from it being a great life guide, and an excellent history source, it is also amazingly written, especially considering the fact that it was written by so many people across so many generations.

Movies? Wow, I like so many... Action, horror, comedies, and yes, even romantic comedies. Love the super hero movies. I just wish DC would get their butt in gear and start making more mainstream ones. Wonder Woman, The Flash, etc. I mean, Jonah Hex is great, but making a movie of him before The Green Arrow? pshh... whatever.

TV, hm... not much of a TV watcher. All but House MD. Has to be the best show ever put on television. I hate dramas and reality TV even more so. I will watch the cooking channel from time to time. I really like the show House MD too. Best show in my opin-... what? I already said that? hmm.. sorry.

Music... ahh... Being a drummer and dabbling in other instruments, I have a somewhat eclectic taste. I love punk rock and ska. Swing music is also awesome. But there is no music that I really am not interested in on some level. I suppose rap is the lowest on the list of mainstream genres, but there are a few artists that I enjoy.

Food? Yes please! er.. maybe not. Trying to watch what I eat... WATCH IT GO RIGHT INTO MY MY FACE! lol. I love anything Italian, or anything that pretends to be Italian. (Would that be trytalian?) Pizza, frozen lasagna, and just about any type of pasta. While I am not a huge fan of a lot of Mexican or Tex-Mex cuisine (save for mi abuela's enchiladas), I have a strange love affair with Taco Bell that I find disturbing. I could eat their 10 times a week.

Also, I love to cook. Breakfast, although rather simple, is the most fun and probably my favorite to prepare.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Well, lol, God for sure. But after that, I'd say my family, food and water and that's pretty much about it. I would be lost for a time if I had to go without my computer, but I would get over it. Other than that, I have nothing I am so tied to that I would say I can't live without.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Oh geez, everything. You name it, I have sat contemplating about it. From aerodynamics of a minivan, the color of school buses, oxygen content in bottled water, typos in advertisements, similarities in facial apearence between different actors... And, strangely, all to a great extent. Usually when someone asks me a question based on opinion, I can answer them quite quickly since my brain wanders so much throughout the day on just about everything that comes to mind. So when people ask me about something off the wall, I already have an answer ready and waiting, lol.

But as far as spending a lot of time? I'd have to say I spend a lot of time thinking about tomorrow and what I could be doing for it today. That may sound corny, but it's really the truth. I am always thinking about what I am going to do next, though I have not yet figured it out. hmm... bugger...
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Resting from a full week of work. Maybe playing cards (no, not poker) with friends, but I am not much of a partier, nor do I drink or do any drugs unless caffeine is on the list. If my friends call me up, or a girl calls me up last minute, I am usually willing to chill or go for a ride, catch a movie, dinner or whatever. I have a habit of staying up late for no reason. Just last night I was up till about 5:50 reading absolutely random things on wikipedia. Which is not at all good considering I had to be up at 7:00 to get ready for work. I do feel pretty good for having gotten only one hour of sleep, though.

More often than not, I am trying to choose between pizza, Taco Bell, or that awesome little mom n' pop Chinese restaurant on Main Street.

Honestly, though, dinner, movies, cruising around, or just chilling at someones house. That's really all I do. An activity that is new would really have to appeal to me for me to consider it. I kinda get stuck in ruts when considering my pastimes of choice. I suppose that's not a good thing, but I'm being honest. The more I like you, however, the more apt I am to go along with just about whatever you say.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I struggle with messiness, lol. My house goes from being clean and gradually gets dirty until it's ridiculous or I have a reason to clean like someone coming over. I actually have to give myself reasons to clean. That's not really that private, but I guess I am not really a private person. I will pretty much tell anyone anything they want to know.

No really, I am not just saying that. I am a fan of what I call 'the question game' where someone I am getting to know asks me literally any question and I answer it, and vice versa. Kinda like truth or dare without the dare. I often like answering more questions than I like asking.

Well, I suppose... if you find any of this blabber interesting. I sure didn't! lol

Also, you should message me if you have any reason at all to do so. I really don't mind. I will probably respond if you are not a complete loon. Well, that would actually be interesting, wouldn't it... Okay, if you are a complete loon, go ahead and message me. All is fair.

:D
