My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Time for a major update to this profile. My name is Marco; I am non-monogamous and open-minded, and I am currently visually disabled.

Now that those aspects of myself are front and center, I can move on. I am a Bay Area native, and I have lived in San Francisco since 2002. I have been described as being very kind, caring, understanding, witty, intelligent, complex, a food and coffee snob, a crazy movie buff, a trivia sponge, a human notepad, and an overall kick in the pants to be around. I am full of great or very bad on-the-spot puns. So consider yourself forewarned.

If you are into the Myers-Briggs personality types, I am an INFP. Having only gone blind this year, I am learning how to adapt to this new life, and adding dating into the mix is providing to be quite a fun adventure. It's pretty much like blind dating, but all the time and literally.

I am a liberal Socialist responsible gun owner even though I do not currently go to the range; I guess you could call me a Marxman.

I have an eidetic and photographic memory, and can remember so many contextual details about any given moment it's almost scary.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Currently figuring out and pursuing training and opportunities open for people with visual disabilities. I may get back into music. I am very interested in quality assurance relating to adaptive accessibility technology and software, and I'm working towards becoming an assistant creative director or ideation specialist.

Prior to all of this, I was a senior animator and visual fx artist, both in a freelance capacity and full-time at a motion graphics house here in San Francisco. I absolutely loved every aspect of this work, and despite my disability I am determined to find a way to be useful within it again someday.

A part from that, I am working out, finding new places to eat, listening to lots of movies and audiobooks. Having problems with dictation. Going to the Symphony. Playing the piano.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking, baking, playing the piano, learning songs by ear and improvising, animating, pleasing others, giving, holding discussions about various topics, talking about movies and music, adapting and finding new ways to do things, giving massages and back scratches, cuddling, languages, deduction and intuition.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My height and hopefully my long cane. Making the cane visible definitely helps prevent collisions on the street, most of which I will usually win. After that, it's probably some form of clothing that has the San Jose Sharks logo on it, as they are my favorite sports team.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Family and friends, iPhone, owls, sex, piano, adaptive technology.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Life, love, music, recipes, movies, science, animation, art, politics, philosophy, technology. New artistic ideas and projects for myself. The relationships that all of the aformentioned subjects have with one another. The plight of the color purple. How I can get a PhD in Horribleness.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Usually relaxing at home with a good audiobook, or navigating Netflix or Amazon Prime on my iPad using voice over. During the hockey season, I am definitely listening to Sharks radio.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
A current goal of mine is to walk downtown and lay a beautiful shoulder check on some businessman in the Financial District who is too busy walking with his nose in his BlackBerry to see me coming. Extra points if he dropped his phone in the gutter or sewer before noticing that I cannot physically see him.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You think we have a good amount in common, and you are willing to work with my disability. I am always up for adventures around the city, and I definitely don't mind sharing what this entire brand-new adventurous experience is like for me during my adaptation process.

You are also non-monogamous or polyamorous, and understand that I am primary to iTryThis.
