After college, I did what any self-respecting money hungry undergrad does when he has no clue what to do next- management consulting. Got to work 80 plus hours, pretended like I knew a lot about ‘best practices’ in industries I had never even heard of and lived at the concierge lounge at your local Marriott. Once I was able to palm my platinum status, there seemed no need to continue onward, so I opted to live in the African bush for two years pondering life and trying to make my existence mean something in a more noble context.
Earned my celestial stripes – went back to school so I could have student debt and now I am gainfully employed in a job I love. With the professional life in check, it seems the personal life could use a little help.
I tried to expand my musical tastes beyond what's spoonfed on radio and at clubs... but that usually requires dedicated time which only happens sparodically...
I am currently being schooled by a foodie friend – year’s end I hope to have earned the moniker of “foodie” as well… make no mistake though, I like eating food much more than preparing it. So romanticized images of me cooking a candlelight dinner should be squashed quickly.
