My self-summary
I was born in the South, but five states later, I have no discernable accent. I was a happy kid with two older brothers and the indisputable favorite – though my mom will deny it publicly. I was analytically creative so I defaulted to the more practical path of engineering where I enjoyed circling answers that tumbled out of long messy equations.

After college, I did what any self-respecting money hungry undergrad does when he has no clue what to do next- management consulting. Got to work 80 plus hours, pretended like I knew a lot about ‘best practices’ in industries I had never even heard of and lived at the concierge lounge at your local Marriott. Once I was able to palm my platinum status, there seemed no need to continue onward, so I opted to live in the African bush for two years pondering life and trying to make my existence mean something in a more noble context.

Earned my celestial stripes – went back to school so I could have student debt and now I am gainfully employed in a job I love. With the professional life in check, it seems the personal life could use a little help.
What I’m doing with my life
Yep, I'm one of "those" people who actually loves what they do... I get to be challenged with life-saving problems in exotic and remote locations...
I’m really good at
things that are not appropriate to list in this box
The first things people usually notice about me
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Varied tastes concerning books...

I tried to expand my musical tastes beyond what's spoonfed on radio and at clubs... but that usually requires dedicated time which only happens sparodically...

I am currently being schooled by a foodie friend – year’s end I hope to have earned the moniker of “foodie” as well… make no mistake though, I like eating food much more than preparing it. So romanticized images of me cooking a candlelight dinner should be squashed quickly.
The six things I could never do without
Microsoft Excel
Wrinkle free shirts
Something I am sure I have yet to discover
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Pocket lint… and World Peace. From the mundane to the grandiose. I think about how I fit into this big space and how I might make some small contribution to it.
On a typical Friday night I am
trying to stay awake- cumulative sleep deprivation usually catches up with me
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I can entertain myself for hours popping bubble wrap
You should message me if
If you are keen to strike up a conversation with a grounded, normal guy...
