My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a generally well adjusted, adventurous and fun-loving gentleman who always chooses the outdoors when given a choice. I have traveled all over the world and plan to continue doing so, and I enjoy making new friends and learning about others. My passions include history, politics, great food and wine, and doing what I can to make the world a little bit better. I moved (back) to New York three years ago for an exciting, demanding job doing something that matters to me. Now that I'm kind of settled, I want to explore this amazing city and its surroundings.

I am healthy, happy, and pretty active. I'm one of those people who actually enjoys going to the gym, but I'm even happier when enjoying outdoor activity like bicycling or hiking. (I also love running and have done five marathons, but running is off the list due to a recurring knee injury. Sigh.)

(Note: Between my iPhone and my home and office computers, OKC may show me as " online now" even if I'm not actually there.)
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I make my living as a communicator, writing, advisor and policy geek. As I've grown up, my work is important, but it's not how I define myself. Work makes everything else possible, which for me, is writing, being with friends and family, learning about other people, other cultures, other points of view, and trying my best to treat others the way I want them to treat me.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Listening. Watching. Learning.

Getting involved in informed debates (usually political) on Twitter and in real life. I learn by listening to what others say and think.

analyzing situations and helping find solutions, brushing off trivial things that others dwell on.

Traveling on short notice.

And I'm a really really good cook.
