Well I suppose I'll start by introducing myself, my name is Marjorie. I grew up in Germany through the military and I'm thankful for my early experiences in traveling because they have had an enormous impact on who I am today. My biggest passion in life is traveling and my top goal in life is to visit all 7 continents.. I have lived in 3 (Europe, U.S., and Asia) and I think it would be pretty amazing to be able to say that I've lived in all 7- but I know that won't happen so at least visiting will have to do.

I'm pretty laid back and easy going about stuff, especially after living in Thailand for almost 6months and adopting the philosophy of "mai pen rai" basically meaning no worries. Just imagine me being wheeled out of my apt in Thailand by an ambulance crew about to take me 3hours away to Bangkok as I tell people "mai pen rai" lol.. TRUE STORY!

Other than traveling I like to spend most of my time with friends because they are really the most important people in my life. I've never been especially close to my family and so my friends have always been the family I never quite had. I've always been the type that prefers a small group of very close friends compared to a million friends who barely know you. I think that friends are the backbone of a healthy life because they truly are the ones to help you up after you fall and bring you back to Earth when you are feeling like your world is spinning out of control.

I enjoy spending my time reading... I love dabbling in photography and I'm an absolute picture whore! If you're ever friends with me you should expect to be photographed on a normal basis.. I think pictures are important because they help you hold on to important people and important experiences in your life. I'm no pro and I don't claim to be but it's still a passion of mine :D... I love watching movies of all kinds and watching tv once in a while when I have the time.

What sort of guys do I like? Well... I like guys that are really intelligent, ambitious, honest, and have a great sense of humor. I don't like slackers and I don't like selfish people who care only about themselves... you should consider other people's feelings when doing things, not just your own. I like guys that enjoy life and can see the good and bad in situations. Guys that are romantic and don't believe that chivalry is dead are great! lol I hope to someday meet a guy that I can consider my best friend... I think friendship is very important in a relationship. I've remained friends with most of my exes b/c I was friends with most of them before we started dating. I'm not into drinking and partying at clubs and what not so I wouldn't be compatible with someone who is into that.. sorry! Traveling is a big passion of mine so I'd like someone who wants to travel the world with me and experience everything the world has to offer :)

Well I just graduated from college in Dec '08... likely one of the WORST times to be graduating in recent history so WIN! I was planning on moving to Korea to teach English for a year in Jan/Feb but sadly I'm stuck here after a car accident left me a bit injured.. yay for doctors and lawyers! I had this big plan for my life once upon a time where I thought I'd go to grad school and get my PsyD and live happily ever after.. then the thought of being in school for another 5-7 years plus being in 150+k of debt set in and I decided that maybe that wasn't what I wanted lol... Since then I've been pretty clueless as to what I want to do with my life.. It's pretty sad to admit but I'll admit it.

I currently work for BJC as a social worker and I work with adults who suffer from chronic mental illness.... I put up with A LOT of bs at work so I'm unwilling to put up with it in my personal life anymore.

I'm looking into options for graduate school and what have you... I'm thinking about going back to school for science courses so I can then go to grad school to become a physician's assistant :) Considering a few other options as well.. but that seems the most likely at this point.

Listening and giving advice... most of my friends come to me when they need someone to talk to or advice on something. I enjoy helping the people that are important to me, and anyone for that matter, so if you have a problem and need someone to talk to I'm always around :D lol

Wow faves, I have way too many faves of everything. But in the interest of complete boredom I shall take a crack at it.....

(A) Well fave books hmmm...there are really way too many to try and list so I suppose I'll just name a few, I like the HP series, the Anita Blake series, Angels and Demons, 1984, East of Eden, Pride and Prejudice, The Scarlet Letter, The Count of Monte Cristo, and a lot of other books.

(B)Well I like A LOT of movies as well... basically anything as long as it has a good story line... I am however not a big fan of the "so stupid it's hilarious" movies.... some are ok but for the most part I don't like them... I do really enjoy romantic girly movies and comedies... so The Notebook, Pride and Prejudice, The Lakehouse, LOVE ACTUALLY, A Walk To Remember, Chasing Liberty, Pretty Woman of course, movies like that... but I love action films as well since they were basically all I ever watched as a child lol...

(C) I like all kinds of music, I mostly listen to punk/alternative/pop/country but I'll listen to just about anything that I can understand... thus I'm not really into the rap that I can't understand a single word other than Fu*k and Bi*ch and what not lol though i do like some rap, just not much.... My fave band is Lifehouse

(D) Asian, Italian, and Mexican are my faves... I love chicken and pasta... I'm not really all that picky as long as you keep the nasty stuff away.. my fave drinks are water and orange juice but i'm picky with my water lol... remember the lil girl from Signs... "the water is contaminated"... yea that's me lol... not that i'm weird n think that water is contaminated but if the water has taste and shouldn't than I won't like it... which is why I usually only drink bottled water.. n even some of that has taste.... yes now you know one of the weird lil quirks about me lol... n you're prolly afraid now.. as you should be.. *be afraid..be very very afraid* lol yea i'm done with that

I spend a lot of time thinking about random stuff that pops into my head...

I'm usually out with friends on the weekends.. if not I'm prolly sick or bored out of my mind at home... sitting online doing nothing!

I grew up very depressed and gained a lot of weight... When I was 19 I started losing weight and decided to enjoy my life... I've managed to lose over 100 pounds on my own and am now a pretty happy go lucky person. I use my weight loss success to try and inspire others I meet who want to do the same :)

I'm a pretty open person once I get to know someone so if you're wondering something just ask...

You are really nice, bored, need advice..... and preferably in your 20's... I'm not into dating people 10years older than me lol
