My self-summary
On one side, I'm a shy, mostly awkward geek who likes movies, comic books, computers, and assorted science-fiction.

On the other side, I like going to karaoke nights and beer that isn't "light." I enjoy trying new things and am easily coaxed out of my shell.

At my core, I am a gentle soul who will help anyone who needs help. I have a big laugh and a powerful voice that surprises anyone who hears it. I am open minded and accepting of everyone; as long as you are not hurting others by your actions, carry on.

I jumped on the late train to Movember, and I decided to stay on. This mustache has grown on me.
What I’m doing with my life
I work for a small IT firm, working on computers for both consumers and businesses. It is mostly rewarding, occasionally frustrating.

I decided last year to convert to Catholicism, I am in the final stretch to receiving my sacraments. This is a very exciting time for me, and I am very happy that I decided to renew my relationship with God.

I adore my children. :-)

I taught myself to crochet, right now I can make a fairly decent scarf. Next I shall learn how to make hats. I plan on eventually making hats and scarves to donate to children who have neither.
I’m really good at
I can take things apart and put them back together with no visual cues or notes. I have also been told I'm quite great at singing. I am very good at randomly making people smile and laugh when they are down.
The first things people usually notice about me
It is usually something along the lines of, "I would never have known that voice could come out of you."
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: My favorite novel is 1984 by George Orwell. I like other novels and short stories, but I spend most of my allotted reading time on technical works.

Movies: Pretty much every trilogy ever released, The Big Lebowski, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Pulp Fiction, V for Vendetta, Moon, and Inception.

TV: I am not much of a TV fan, but I make exception for Doctor Who. Reality TV has largely chased me away from being a regular watcher of the tube.

Music: I listen to nearly anything. Favorites are Dave Matthews Band, Mumford and Sons, Silversun Pickups, The Black Keys, and all classical music. Supreme mega props to talented musicians who don't need autotune to sound good, you are my heroes.

Food: The only thing I've ever tried and did not like is sushi. I think it had something to do with the place I tried that sushi though. Mexican food is my favorite, and the spicier, the better.
The six things I could never do without
1: My lovely children.
2: A moment alone with our Lord.
3: Music.
4: Coffee.
5: Learning something new every day.
6: A nice pint.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How can I be a better Christian?
On a typical Friday night I am
Either staying in, or out singing a song.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I feel terribly out of place just about everywhere I go.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 28–45
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You want to go on an adventure, or out for some coffee.

You feel like you don't fit in anywhere, and want to take some of the heat off of you.

You like to dress up and go places, or be lazy on the couch for the evening.

Watching the waves roll in on Lake Michigan sounds like a good idea, even if it's 32 degrees outside.

You like learning. Anything.

You let your eyes and ears make up your mind, instead of being told what to think.

This is also important to know. Though I am Catholic, I will never try to convert you. I made the decision on my own, and I feel everyone else has the right to decide on their own.
