I would never call my life average. Before finding myself here in Pittsburgh, I've lived all over the globe. After graduating from high school I took a hiatus from being practical and roughed it in some of the world's most amazing locations. I learned to surf in Southern California, how to dance in Brazil, how to cook in New Orleans, how to make (and drink!) beer in Germany, and, finally, how to ski during my undergraduate years in Colorado. To me, there is nothing more exciting than learning something new. And, every new thing that I take on, I strive to do my personal best at.

These days you can find me in the Pittsburgh suburbs living the most normal life I have ever lived- taking care of my son part time and spending Monday-Friday in the office. Luckily, I still find the time to engage in my favorite hobbies. Teaching my son these things has been really rewarding and FUN. Because that's what life is all about--- at the end of it, I'd like to say, "I had fun."

I work in the mental health industry- that takes up about 40-50 hours of my week. "giving back" is important to me and my job allows me that opportunity. In the meantime, I'm either hanging out with my super cool kid and doing my part to make sure he grows up to be a respectable adult, working my way through a cookbook, or scratching that itch I always have to travel.

Skiing, surfing, my job, and "doing good". My parents always stressed the importance of having a cause. I try to do the same with my own son- together we do a lot of volunteer work. I think it's so important for him to see that even though our lives aren't always perfect, there are so many people on this planet that are not getting the essentials every day of their lives.

My smile- people tell me all the time that I always look happy! (that's probably because I am.)

Every food is my favorite food- I especially love south american influenced cuisine, southern comfort food, and New Orleans style cajun. I also enjoy trying new craft beers.

I'm not much of a movie and TV kind of guy. I turn on the history channel every now and then and have recently been watching and reading a lot about American History. A lot of the books I read are either travel oriented or trade materials, typically medical journals, that expand my knowlege within my career.

I love "Jam" bands like Phish and Dave Matthews. I've found myself at a few music festivals in my lifetime. Also into alt-rock bands like the Black Keys. I love Pandora- one day after listening to the Black Keys for the first time and loving their sound, I just typed them in and discovered an entire group of bands that I am now very in to.

5-6. Obviously I'm pretty low maintenance, can't think of a 5 or 6

I'm a momma's boy- she has raised me to be a passionate, caring, and respectful man with the confidence to accomplish anything I want. She's also an excellent grandmother who wants to her only son to find "the one" and is happy to babysit!!

you are an easy-going, fun to be around, smart kind of lady. I like a woman who can laugh at herself and see the bright side of everything. I can't see myself with those high maintenance women who put more value on the material things than the substance of a relationship... I'll be happy to spoil you with romance and gifts, but let's balance that with giving back to the world, and keeping in mind what it is important in life.
