My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a storyteller and a storychaser. I never learned the value of chapter breaks. I love books, libraries and book stores. I read the NYT and longreads religiously and deeply enjoy narrative non-fiction and all forms of journalism.

I think of myself as a grownup tomboy (I traded in the backwards hat for dresses but I still love sports). March is my favorite month of the year because I am obsessed with college basketball. I love running, spinning, a challenging workout and playing soccer.

I have a knack for talking to anyone anywhere about anything. Nothing makes me smile more than interacting with a cute kid.

My passions include: education policy, learning, March Madness, cooking, the Olympics, recipe surfing, reading, American history, narrative non-fiction, art, psychology and writing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
cooking, doodling (i.e. elaborate pen and ink drawings, you can see some examples at www.arthousecoop.com/library/657 ), hosting dinner parties, talking to new people, geeking out about college basketball, writing, boggle and Scrabble, pub trivia, teaching, entertaining children, finding recipes worth trying.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
That I talk a lot.

TV: 30 for 30 docs, The Wire, Veronica Mars, Srugim, OITNB, Transparent, Chopped.

Food: Love fish tacos, roasted vegetables, kale salads, salads with fruit and anything with sweet potatos. I'm likely the meyer lemon's biggest fan. And I once told a fifth grader my favorite food was quinoa.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Books, stories, words
Fruit (fall: honey crisp apples; summer: watermelon; always: bananas)
My NYT subscription
Friends and Family
Physical activity
A creative outlet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Education policy, the New York Times Magazine long pieces, history, story ideas, my latest reads, meals I want to cook, the impact of technology on modern lifestyles, change over time, changing cities, college basketball, sports journalism, art.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Potentially either at my favorite spin class or a shabbat dinner.
