My Self-Summary
Hello~ My name is Mary and I am here for the same reason as most of
you - making new friends, and/or finding someone to hang out with,
which may have the potential for something more! All of my friends
are married and I am the last single one, which doesn't really
bother me, but I have gotten to the age where I definitely am
looking for someone to spend time with! Currently, I'm employed as
an Admissions Counselor for a local college, however I recently
received my Master's degree in School Guidance Counseling and will
probably end up working in a high school eventually. I enjoy
spending time with my family, traveling, and having a few beverages
with my friends!! Oh, and I lived in Ireland for nearly four years
during my late 20's - fantastic experience that I love to share
with people! I try and go back every year and am always looking for
a travel partner/fun person to join me!! That person could be you!!
What I’m doing with my life
Right now I am preparing for my Fall travel/recruitment season, so
my busy season is approaching. I enjoy my work as an Admissions
Counselor - interacting with students is my favorite part of the
job, therefore I feel I'm in the correct profession! I am also
currently planning my next trip to Ireland for my friend's wedding
- would love to have a date to escort me!

My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: It totally depends on my mood as to what I'm reading. It can
be a simple, fluffy novel; it could be a vampire-themed novel; it
could be something like Harry Potter; or a romance. I also like to
read about Irish history.
Movies: Shawshank Redemption, In America, Walk the Line (that movie got me into Johnny Cash even though I usually don't like country), Juno, I am a big fan of movies and will watch all kinds of movies except horror.
Music: U2, Bruce, Barenaked Ladies, Dave Matthews, and The Killers. I love traditional Irish music, and Irish rock, such as, the Pogues, Gaelic Storm, the Dubliners, Dropkick Murphys, Makem and Clancy. I also like anything on the radio except rap, country, and soft rock!!
Food: Love Pizza and I'm a meat an potatoes kind of girl. I also love all kinds of fish - mostly shellfish!

I have always been afraid of loud noises (i.e., fireworks, balloons
popping, gun fire - although, thankfully, I have not had first-hand
experience with that)!!
