What is it? Every now and then I hear 2 rings/dings on this site but it isn't anyone calling on the Im. Could someone tell me what it is? Please? thanks

Well I have been blocked for the first time. I have no idea why. It's not like I was always Im ing the person. Yesterday I tried to Im him and asked how's it going? then his window opened with no response. a minute later it closed.
Am I too friendly? I thought we were supposed to welcome new users to the site.
My weird-sh**-o-meter is going off in a very strange way.
Makes me wonder if I was talking to another nigerian scammer who finally recognized my name-or if he had a wife who checked on his computer to see what he was up to. weird!!!

The sob story and the Africa connection were another 2 red flags.Waiting for his goods to arrive at port. Conveniently they arrive , then the portmaster wants $300.I finally convince him I'm just a poor person. Conveniently-a client from The States calls right then, He is sending him the money he owes him. but b. cancelled his account in Denton,Tx. before the trip to Africa because of internet scams.Did I forget to tell you Hun? Major red flags flying in the wind. So the client can't send him cash but will send a check that he has no way of cashing. So I ask wouldn't it be faster for him to wire you the money? no answer. B needs the check to come to me for me to cash and wire him the money.Red flags burning in the sunset. So I agree and give him my address, but none of my bank information. The check will arrive by Friday, supposedly.I tell him I'll take it to my bank but I can't just cash it. The bank will want to secure the funds from the bank it is written on first. ( I know how banks really operate. Mom retired from a big one.I was just stringing him on.) Sure baby I'll wire it as soon as it clears.
By the way folks his profile is no longer on okcupid as of today.Suspicious yet?

I hope you are reading this. I've already called my bank for a hold on suspicious activities. If you or anyone else tries to get credit or anything in my name - you are in for a BIG surprise. And the check. If it arrives, I will be taking straight to the FBI office in Louisville. I know right where it is, I put in a job application there once.

Aug 15 Update: Have gotten several more Im s on yahoo and 2 email today from Bryantguy. I am tempted to write back and call him Mfumi and ask him if he is naked and riding a zebra. ( I surely got the name wrong but anybody familiar with Eddie Murphy's Raw will get the reference.)
8-15 evening: screwed with idiot boy over the Im for over an hour. He was even asking me what his profile name was when I got done with him. Apparently he didn't remove his profile from okcupid. He/? insisted that it was still on no matter how much I told him it wasnt. He had originally listed his race as 1/2 Native American and 1/2 African American. Tonight he admitted that his mom was African (if she even exists). When I asked him what tribe his dad was from he replied native america, then asked me what my tribe was. I replied,"white trash and german/pollack." He replied "ok cool" duh what a maroon.I think I will keep messing with him just for the giggles. He's out for my money anyway so I think It's fair to try for some entertainment.

I am so mad I could kick a cardboard box across the room.
What brought this one on? Comparing a WTF report.
Sometimes I get angry that the possible answers don't have a wide enough range. It seems that for the people who wrote them expect everything to be cut and dry, Black or white and the Deity help anyone who falls in between. " is any one religion more right than another?" NO! How dare anyone declare that God/Allah/ Whatever name It goes by did not come to other persons or groups of people in another way. The Koran has got that one right on. Yes God/Allah/? did send prophets to all peoples- a loving Deity would try to reach all of It's children. The problem was that not all societies were accepting of "their" prophets and killed or ignored them. Duh! No, We're so special because God loved us more. Get real. would a truly loving parent play favorites and cause people to fight over not being the favorite? C'mon people. Drop the my god's better than your god attitude. Whatever name you know God by is correct. Love is all that matters.

ON ANOTHER SUBJECT

ABORTION
TOO many people are imposing their own moral values on others. This subject especially affects me. My first encounter with the subject was when I was a friend's ride the day she had hers. I was unsure how I felt about it until that day. There was a woman there whose husband had told her that she had to get rid of it. They already had 3 boys and he didn't want any more kids. She wanted it.she was hoping for a girl. the staff there would not give her an abortion. They did their best to talk her into dropping the S.O.B. and hooked her up with organizations that would help her and her kids get away from him and support them til she had the baby and could get on her feet. One other lady that I talked to in the waiting room had a different story. She and her husband both wanted the child. They were saving to get her tubes tied when birth control failed. They had exhausted every avenue on their own to try to get support/food stamps , wic ,any help they could get. When the problem of a child coming into the world with 2 parents occurs.Sometimes there is no agency to help.
My second run in with abortion came a few years later. My embryonic/baby cousin was dying in her mothers womb. My aunt had 2 other children to care for. Her mother-in-law who was what we called hyper-catholic raised fifty types of hell when she heard the news that the dr.s had recommended an abortion to keep my aunt from dying because of this child. The Dr.s waited as long as they could. Because of the family's religious beliefs they induced labor instead of performing a late-term abortion. Luckily my aunt survived the trauma of induced labor and was able to return to her family a day or 2 later. My cousin was a perfectly formed baby except for the head. She had a face and a partial brain stem.An incomplete skull, open from the eyebrows to the back of the neck. No brain other than that little piece that kept her heart beating for a very short time after birth. No chance of survival. The abortion would have been a lot easier on her body, but to shut up a holier than thou Bitch ,she risked it. Risked leaving her 2 children motherless, her husband wifeless for someone else's belief. Now the law has been changed. No late term abortions in her state. I feel very sorry for the women who have to die for other people's beliefs.
If a person feels so anti abortion they need to do something-put down the signs and pictures of dead babies and get to work/support the technology that will allow the fetal babies to be frozen for future birth. Support research for an artificial womb or volunteer to carry,feed and support the babies you want so badly to save. They aren't being killed because they are unwanted ,they are being killed because people can't take care of them, people can't sacrifice the children they have to give this one a shot, or other reasons. Damned few people hate children so badly that they want to kill them just so they won't have to worry about them. Get off your ass and tackle the problem with a real solution.

O.K. now I have cursed, too. The way I feel about that is-I spelled them correctly and used them in a sentence. Get over it or go pass a law against it. It won't stop me either way.

I weighed in this morning at 230. that's 10 down and another 10 by x-mas.

Packing for this move has become quite a challenge. Where did I get all this CRAP ? Why do I have some of it? What did I want it for in the first place? Why do I still have all these movies that I have practically memorized?
I don't want to pack this all to go on the truck. I should have gotten rid of most of this years ago.

If anyone asks; There's going to be one heck of a Yard Sale in Jeffersonville,In. next weekend.I sure hope it doesn't rain.

I lost 7 pounds since the last time I weighed in. 233 and going DOWN!

I almost always have had a weight problem.Chubby in grade school and Junior High.( Back when it was called that instead of Middle School.)
I lost a lot in 8th grade and was normal.( size 12)
In High School I started gaining again in my sophomore year. I was miserable in school at that time. I started losing again after I quit High School, took the GED test and started in a business college when I should have been in my Senior year. I had always wanted to go to college but lost a little hope after quitting H.S. Jumped on the chance when I found out they took people with GEDs.Stayed a size 13-14 for those years. I had a great time. The other students all wanted to be there and weren't Looking for entertainment at the expense of others.
Made it back up to a size 18 after graduation working at a gas station. The school was more a business than a college. Plus the bottom had fallen out of the "jobs for 2 yr. degreed computer programmers" market.
I went back to real college in 1984 as a size 14 and got down to a size 9 jeans when I was trying to join the army to make some college money. I was 4 pounds away from being taken and could not get it off. Went slowly back up to a size 18 by graduation. The next 5 years I worked for the Federal Government and got up to a size 24. In 1996 I was running 1 mile 3x per week and down to a size 20,eating everything I wanted or wasn't tied down. Then my health went down the tubes and my weight went back up. I have been fluctuating between a size 24 to a size 20 since 1998. I am determined to get back down to a size 16 or better.
I heard that most women eat to make up for not having quality sex. Not sure I believe that , but it would explain it a little.
Sometimes I think " I sure wish Mr. Wonderful would show up so we could play-chase-around-the-bed every night so I could get to the size I want to be." Silly I know. If you can't laugh at yourself them you have no business laughing at anyone else.( Or should that be with anyone who is laughing at their self.)
