Hello! Some facts about me:
- I am a Massachusetts guy, born and raised, and I love Boston. Yes, that includes the sports teams. No, I won't hold it against you if you aren't into sports. (If you're a Yankees fan, however...)
- I love to travel, in principle. In practice, I have not left the country in about five years. I find this disappointing, but realistically I don't see a good overseas trip in my near future. Ah well. (Update: I went to Canada recently! That counts, right?!)
- I do have some great stories from my previous roaming, though. Ask me about Caracas.
- I don't know my personality type. I don't like to classify people, nor to be classified. Chemistry happens, or it doesn't, and four letters won't tell me who it will or will not happen with.
- I am a nerd. I am not ashamed to be a nerd. Joss Whedon is my idol. It's okay if you don't know who that is.
- I am a writer. I would be a writer even if I weren't paid to. That I can pay (some of) the bills by writing just makes it all the sweeter.
- I have tattoos. I like tattoos. I like getting them, I like having them, I like women who like getting and having them. Though I like the other type of women, too.

- And to close, a joke:
What is blue and smells like red paint? (Answer: you'll have to send me a message if you want to find out!)

I am a (published) novelist. I moved to Los Angeles recently to attempt to make the jump into screenwriting, as well.

All sorts of things. But this entry feels too much like bragging, and that is not one of those things.

Books: the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series; Calvin & Hobbes; far too much stuff to list here. I read a lot, and my literary tastes don't fall into any specific genre or period or place. Currently reading: Life of Pi (so far I'm unimpressed, sadly)

TV shows: Firefly; Buffy the Vampire Slayer; the rest of Whedon's ouvre; Fringe; old X-Files; Heroes (mostly season 1); Mythbusters; Battlestar Galactica (except the ending); Avatar: The Last Airbender; How I Met Your Mother; Game of Thrones; recently started watching Doctor Who, haven't come to a solid conclusion about it (though seeing Mr. Giles as an evil bat-monster alien who eats schoolchildren was kinda cool....)

Food: the kind you eat. Except shellfish.

Six? Hmm...

-An atmosphere containing approximately 78.08% nitrogen, 20.95% oxygen, 0.93% argon, 0.038% carbon dioxide;
-Water (at least about 2 liters per day);
-Food (at least about 600 calories per day, though I would prefer 2,000 or so);
-Shelter and/or clothing sufficient to protect me from the elements;
- The protection of Earth's magnetic field (without which solar flares and cosmic radiation would quickly make the planet uninhabitable). [A similar life-supporting planet, or a sufficiently shielded spacecraft, etc., could also suffice.]
- A sarcastic sense of humor that makes me go on far too long with a lame joke like this list.

Life, the Universe, and Everything. I know the answer, but the question yet eludes me...
