I am literate, articulate, and strange.
My Self-Summary
I didn't intend to join a matchmaking site. I just took an RPG Quiz
(Smart Paladin, by the way, with a Combativeness of 88, Sneakiness
of 26, Intellect of 67 and Spirituality of 52.) My Spirituality
would be a LOT lower if not for my First Girl ( a Pagan and sibling
bibliophile). A more purely materialist, mechanist paradigm would
have left me closer to the Smart fighter I usually play.
I am a
science fiction fan,
wargamer and
Gorean
Lifestyler. I
read a LOT! My friends and I
bookstore-crawl the way normal people pub-crawl. I am a fan of
hentai anime,
especially
"Fencer of Minerva"
(Gor-Lite, but definitely not Disney-Gor!). My musical tastes run
from
Leslie
Fish to
P.D.Q. Bach.
I'm wierd. I haven't faked normalcy in decades, altho I do practice
diplomacy.
I hadn't planned to be here. But since I am...
What I’m doing with my life
Currently between Real Jobs, taking what comes to hand and hoping
for Something Wonderful. Would _love_ to snag a bookstore job, but
there are_so_ many bibliophiles and so few bookstore gigs in my
college town. I _definitely_ need something like a bookstore or
library job that pays a living wage.
Hell, I should sit down at a computer and _write!_
I’m really good at
Telling a story, being funny, dominating submissive women to
provide a mutually enjoyable time. (_Much_ less good with PC
Feminists, but then; why bother with them?) Doing different voices
( have done radio plays as multiple characters). Some martial arts.
Game-Mastering in Role-Playing games if the game mechanics are
sufficiently uncomplicated.
The first things people usually notice about me
My eloquence. Even silent, I am eloquent in mime, gesture and
presentation. A co-worker says I have a keen fashion sense, and
that's after she's seen me in an "I (heart) Hentai" T-shirt. Once I
actually speak, I sound poetic and philosophical at once. I am
_very_ well-read, and it shows.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
Books: John Norman's "Gor" series, Matt Ruff's "Sewer, Gas and
Electric", John Ringo's "Ghost" series, Steven Saylor's "Roma Sub
Rosa" series, John Maddox Robert's "SPQR" series. Music: Filk (no,
that's _not_ a misprint. Not after all this time, anyway. Ask any
filker at a science fiction con about _that_.) Some classical and
metal, and a _lot_ of Dementia. Movies: Hentai anime, especially
"Fencer of Minerva". Danny Kaye's "The Court Jester". "Sky Captain
and the World of Tomorrow." "Brotherhood of the Wolf." "Secretary"
( a date movie for me and my First Girl. We definitely have the
DVD.) "Ghostbusters" I and II. "Hellboy". "Pirates of the
Caribbean" ( We're hoping to snag a copy of "Yellowbeard" on DVD
for Talk Like A Pirate Day.)
The six things I could never do without
Oxygen, Water, Food, Something Interesting To Read, Shelter, Cats.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Science fiction, science, sociobiology, The Singularity,
cyberculture, Libertarian philosophy, filk lyrics, new fiction of
merit (as I define the term) on Literotica and Simon bar Sinister's
Erotic Mind Control Stories forum, new maledom/femsub fiction on
Ellora's Cave, martial arts, late Roman Republic and early Roman
Empire fiction (Saylor's "Roma Sub Rosa" and Roberts' "SPQR"
series, especially). I live in a very high-density information
enviornment.
On a typical Friday night I am
On second and fourth Friday evenings, I am with the Des Moines
Science Fiction Society, having dinner with some or all of the
members thereafter, with a trip to one bookstore or another before
and after these fetes. If there's one close enough to home, I'll
spend a Friday through Sunday at a Science Fiction Convention.
Other Friday nights I'll just spend at home with my First Girl, our
cats, our vast library and the TV tuned to "NUMB3RS", recuperating
from work.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit here
I'm a Gorean Lifestyler. Any websearch should tell you from this if
talking to me constitutes a Good Idea or a Bad Idea.
You should message me if
One should _communicate_ with me if she is a submissive woman
interested in a specifically Gorean master of the Scholarly Caste,
or simply talking to a very unconventional thinker.
