My self-summary
Displaced Southern Gent | Seasoned Solo Traveler | Karaoke/Movie Quote Ninja | Servicey Patriotic Veggiephobe

If that's not enough to get you started... I love sports. Love as a word doesn't do it justice. In fact, I even work for a pro team in the area. "Faithfully" by Journey might be the greatest song of all time. I subscribe to the "live to eat" mentality. I'm not afraid to quote movies and/or Family Guy. I was a college mascot. Satisfied?
What I’m doing with my life
Been in the city about two years now after having spent the previous four working in Denver, CO. As I mentioned, I work for a pro sports team in the NY/NJ area (wanna guess which one?) in Client Services for premium season ticket holders. Good use of my engineering degree from college... The hours are long but it's more fulfilling than my previous career. With long hours comes a limited social life and I need another branch that doesn't involve co-workers.
I’m really good at
smiling a lot, being positive, making people laugh/smile, quoting movies, reeling off sports statistics or records, board games and trivia, being servicey and chivalrous, and doing too much by myself.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Huge movie buff - can't emphasize that enough - sucker for good superhero movies (everybody needs a hero right?), action, comedy, 80's flicks, etc. - some examples of what I like... Rush, Moneyball, Clue, Apollo 13, The Prestige, Captain Phillips, Wedding Crashers, Can't Hardly Wait, The Breakfast Club, Grease (had the lead role in high school)

Family Guy, Seinfeld, American Idol (i tried out once), Band of Brothers, ESPN stuff

Love to sing along to songs on my iPhone (even in the office - my poor office mates...) and karaoke rocks - 80s/90s stuff - Alter Bridge, Journey, Foo Fighters, Goo Goo Dolls, U2, Pearl Jam, Hans Zimmer, Van Halen, AC/DC, movie soundtracks, Rock of Ages (the broadway show is a blast)

Food - italian, thai, chinese, tex/mex, southern food
The six things I could never do without
family reunions
my iPhone (so I could listen to music)
soda (unfortunately)
the break from reality that movies provide
seamless (... god this one can hurt at times...)
perpetual hope (to know that there's something worth hoping for)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my next vacation - love to travel... all over Europe, Asia, Disney World, Vegas, Chicago - always nice to have something to look ahead to
On a typical Friday night I am
could be at the movies, at a happy hour with friends, working a game, venturing out to one of the many great restaurants this city has, or even posted up on my comfy couch in front of the TV with a seamless order and a movie.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I've been known to eat like a 6 yr old - both in quality of food and the LACK of vegetables.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 23–32
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
you're tired of dealing with assholes and want a nice, genuine guy (we nice guys never get enough chances, and we're much better daters, boyfriends and hubbies than the assholes). but let's start slow...

How will you score on my little test below (1 pt for each)? Let me know!
- you share my love for watching sports and going to sporting events
- you're a fan of one of my teams (Chicago Blackhawks, Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, Vanderbilt, LSU, Houston Astros, NY Yankees, etc), give yourself a bonus point for each team
- you agree that Disney World really is the most magical place on earth
- you won't mind me opening car doors for you or (since most don't drive in this city) any doors for that matter
- you don't play games (we're all past that right? just no toying with please)
- you can laugh and have a good time but are just as cool with a lazy day in watching a movie
- you don't shy away from a crowd and can work a room on your own
- you are ok with living in the now and just going with it
