I am eccentric, quiet, and patient.

My Self-Summary

Hmm me, well I think I'm odd, and I guess so would most people. Having never met myself I find it hard to give a realistic impression of myself, in honesty I probably have a somewhat idealised idea of what I am, and how I appear to others. So it's not unreasonable to say that I'm not qualified to answer questions which have subjective answers about myself, if you want to know the real answers, then you'll just have to get to know me and figure it out for yourself. Also bare in mind that we are all different people in different environments, we act differently with friends, family, lovers, in public, in private, on the internet, on the phone and so on.

I'm also a card carrying geek, a roleplayer, an online gamer... so if such strange hobbies scare you away, start running.

Oh apologies for typos spelling etc, my excuse(s), its 4am as I write, mild dyslexia, oh and too lazy to use a spell checker... did you bother ? (I have now bothered with that spell checker... only took a few years)

What I’m doing with my life

Living it, enjoying the good parts, attempting to avoid the bad parts.

I’m really good at

Arguing both sides of a debate, reading books, using my imagination...

The first things people usually notice about me

Depends what they are looking for, and where and how the meet me. I guess the web might be the most relevant case to consider, so maybe my choice of username, or a photo I have supplied... what did you notice first ?

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

a) Books, so many, so here's some favourite writers, Katherine Kerr, Iain Banks, Asimov, Peter F. Hamilton, Trudi Canavan, Raymond E. Fiest, James Clavell... Of course factual books which I also read are easier to group by subject, science (more physics, but not exclusively), history, politics, philosophy, and others that grab my interest.

b) Movies, meh, a good book is better, but that said, Leon, Donnie Darko, Amelie ummm I enjoy films, but as light entertainment its rare I take much note or recall them in the long term.

c)Music, a kinda of eclectic mix, ranges between Bloodhound gang, Sarah McLachan, NIN, Great Big Sea, Paul Simon, Alabama 3, Lacuna Coil, Live, Eels, BNL, lots lots more...

d) Food, mmm, I have yet to be served anything that I've been unwilling to try, and most I enjoy to some extent. I enjoy cooking, but not just for myself, I like to cook for people.

The six things I could never do without

Independent thought, without it would I even be me ?

Memory, without it would I know who I was, or that this question had been asked ?

Perception, it's just essential...

Words, communication, without these is there any point remembering perceiving or thinking ?

Food, Air, etc, dull unoriginal, but essential.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Almost anything, I tried to think of some subject that I have never at all thought of, and couldn't, as soon as I thought of it...

On a typical Friday night I am

Reading, on the web, with friends (more often "in" than "out").

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Not sure, what's the most private question you're likely to want the answer to ?

You should message me if

If you want to... if you don't then I doubt I could persuade you otherwise here (I have to admit to being slow to respond at times, so please be patient).
