I'm a dichotomy, a contradiction, a mystery shrouded in an enigma with a riddle at the core; I ride a big cruiser motorcycle (yes I will give you a ride, you just need a helmet), I shave with a straight razor, i smoke a pipe occasionally, I used to have a pretty epic beard. I also love Steel Magnolias, used to be a hairstylist and have very specific and informed opinions on fashion design and the outfits worn to Awards Ceremonies. I can start a fire without matches or a lighter, I can purify water with a coffee can and a piece of plastic; I also watch every episode of "RuPaul's Drag Race"
I don't have a lot of free time, but I want to find new friends, cronies, and FWBs if the situation is right for the times that I need to de-stress and get my mind off work related subjects.
What I’m doing with my life
Taking charge of what I can control, figuring acceptable
compromises for things I can't.
I’m really good at
I'm really good at making what seems terrible seem not so terrible
anymore through a series of humour, perspective, suggestion and
understanding. I'm also a pretty good cook, a computer whiz, and
the cats always get fed on time.
The first things people usually notice about me
Always the eyes, they've be described as the color of the ocean
after a big storm. I have a nice butt too, but most people don't
see that first unless I'm being clumsy and backing up towards them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I watch alot of movies, I build kites, play bass and I spend way too much time online apparently. i read anything within reach. Some recent bright stars: "World's Fair", "The Lovely Bones", "Lamb:Story of Jesus of Nazareth as Told By His Childhood Friend Biff", "Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince", the Steig Larsson "Millennium Trilogy", the Clive Barker "Abarat" series , "Wicked" as well as old favorites like "Lost Souls" I generally don't like musical films, but I am fanatical in my love for "Repo! The Genetic Opera" and "Hedwig and the Angry Inch" I read every thing around me wherever I am; People magazine, Popular Mechanics, Modern Latina, it just doesn't matter; good information comes from unlikely sources.
80's/90's goth and darkwave
Sisters of Mercy
Fields of the Nephilim
Jean Pierre Jeunet
I love Zach Snyder's visual style
Tarsem Singh's costumes and mis-en-scene
the work of John Cassevetes
Hershel Gordon Lewis
Guillermo del Toro
I love "Adventure Time" and "Archer" so much despite how juvenile and puerile they can be, or maybe because they are...
Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt
Orange is the New Black
Twilight Zone (the original)
Sons of Anarchy (until Season 6)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
How people can make such outdated prejudices like racism and
homophobia such an integral part of their personality instead of
realizing how embarassing it is to those around them and how big of
an idiot it makes them.
On a typical Friday night I am
Enjoying the fact that I don't have to go to work for two days and sometimes planning a motorcycle ride.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
hmmm...nothing super secret that I can think of. I'm sure I'll think of things to tell you about if we meet.
You should message me if
Ok, here's the situation. I have a girl that I'm crazy about but we have an open relationship. You will meet her before anything happens just to make sure we are all ok with each other.
I just want to meet someone who can understand this arrangement and isn't looking for "a reason to delete their acct". I have a lot to offer the right one, whether it be a month, a year or once in a while when we are both not busy.
