I guess the first thing that should be said about myself is that I'm different from most people you'll meet. Not different as defined by a lack of some necessary or universally desirable trait; rather I seem to find that my interests and my social mannerisms are different from others in ways that make me stand out, for better most of the time.

I love talking and socializing, but I tend to do engage in a more direct manner. This is not to say that I lack tact. When I communicate it is to trade ideas, whether for the formalities of work or education, or for the more subtle exchanges of friendship and romance. Some people find my speech refreshing and love talking to me for that reason. Others, not so much. But I'm not here for the latter group, am I?

I like watching anime, reading manga, and playing RPGs and classic FPSs. My greatest skills are all involved with technology, especially in fixing it. I watch TED talks and read technical manuals sometimes when I'm bored. I'm subscribed to 50+ webcomics, and read the Onion before I read the actual news.

I think I am a pretty practical guy. If something needs to be done, I'll do it. If I don't know how to do it, I'll look it up. I take pride in finding solutions.

I attend college full time. I'm a double major, studying Computer Science and Philosophy. I work part time as a PC Repair Technician, and enjoy my job.

People often ask for my help with problem solving. Not just the technical, mathematical kind, but also the more practical, real life form of problem solving. I also understand others pretty well.

I'm self confident, despite being reserved at times. I tend to talk about things I like more than anything else in idle conversation; I'm not very big into gossip.

I have a lot of favorite books, but I guess my absolute favorite series is probably Orson Scott Card's Ender's Game saga. There are a lot of other book series I love, but Card's works are really representative of my interests. I read some manga in my spare time, as well.

The movies I like most are Real Genius, Pursuit of Happyness, FFVII: Advent Children, and Kung Pow: Enter the Fist.

I don't watch much TV, there are some anime that I like. "When They Cry", "Black Lagoon", and "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya" top the list. Yeah, I'm a bit of an otaku.

I like weird music. The best way to sum it up is that it sounds like Count Dracula conducting an orchestra of nerds armed with synthesizers and keyboards. I'm won't complain when you listen to something else, though. Totally not a hipster about listening to Dracula music before it was cool.

My favorite foods are General Tso's chicken, Macaroni and Cheese, and Popcorn.

I love thinking. It's just fun running "what-ifs" through my brain and taking a bit of time to analyze and consider and experiment with different concepts.

Studying, reading, hanging out with friends, other stuff that may be kinda nerdy.

I collect anime figures, specifically nendroids and miniatures. They make good desktop decorations and they accumulate pretty quickly.
