My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
English speaker, French speaker, daydreamer, math major, sometimes-programmer, world traveller, wine drinker, beer drinker, straight with a twist of gay, eligible, not too stupid, intelligible, cute as Cupid, knowledgeable but not always right, salvageable and free for the night.

I think you'll like me.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working. Enjoying a new place (I'm originally Texan). Vacationing -- one of the perks of a job. Drinking wine that's not the cheapest in the store -- another such perk.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
math, French, humor, fry cookery, concert piano playing, ice road trucking, recognizing obscure paintings, making Sidecars, drinking Sidecars, eating croissants, baking croissants, critiquing croissants, balancing multiple plates at the end of a drumstick, not misspelling the word "misspelling," proving the Pythagorean Theorem, correctly pronouncing "mischievous," translating Shakespeare into moribund Papuan languages, and creating complete lists (of which this is one).
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
my face.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: Ficciones by Jorge Luis Borges, Todos os Nomos by José Saramago, La Ronde et Autres Faits Divers by JMG Le Clézio, Bleak House by Dickens, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Brontë.

Movies: Amadeus, Pulp Fiction, Groundhog Day, It's A Wonderful Life, A History of Violence, Dr. Strangelove, Fargo.

Music: I'm not lying when I say I'm up for just about anything. I'm a big fan of all kinds of classical music, but I also like 60's classic rock, a lot of pop from the 70's and 80's, and even Medieval Music in Middle English or French.

Food: When I was in Paris I kept a food blog -- new restaurant / food item every day. As you can imagine I've grown to be somewhat picky. Fast food? Depends on what I'm getting. Restaurant? Hard to pick just one. If it's a hipster-ish place that serves craft beer I'll probably give it five stars on Yelp. Four if the service sucks.

Coffee: Turkish. Or really good, really dark drip. I am a coffee snob.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Good music
2. Good food
3. My mind
4. Solitude
5. The support of my family
6. Coffee
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Oh, you know ... enemas. ENIGMAS. I GET THOSE TWO CONFUSED, I SWEAR.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
tryin' craft beer, playin' an obscure card game, abbreviatin' my words.

u wanna talk to me? lol.

^ Only jesting. If ... you are a cute guy/girl with a broad vocabulary and a fine sense of humor.

I'm looking for both friendships and relationships. But please be a good, straightforward person -- no more flakes and game-players for me.

Face-to-face contact is very important to me. I will probably not be interested if we cannot meet in person (not Skype!) within a reasonable amount of time.
