My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
My name is Matthew. I work in high end retail, while working on changing that as you read this. I am also an artist, and love to paint and work on small batch design projects. I find humor in almost everything, and love to make people laugh. I enjoy trying to find beauty in every aspect of life, and try to really appreciate the small things. I am an avid Giants and Forty Niners fan, and trying to be a Sharks fan.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Working full time, and painting as a hobby on the side. I eventually hope to find a job still in the textile industry, however this time shaping the way a brand looks at and communicates with its customers.

I also try and lead by example. I can't talk about buying American made goods unless I do it myself. I can't talk about helping those less fortunate if I don't in my own life. I often hear and see people spouting off grand ideas about what others should be doing and how much better it would be for everyone else if we all did it their way, but in the end they don't even back up their own argument. I feel like this can be translated into politics, love, family, and pretty much anything else you find in life. Overall, I am just trying to be truthful.

Every day, I hope to make at least one person smile and laugh. Making others laugh is something I believe makes us live longer, and obviously happier.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making the best of a crappy situation, enjoying the small things in life, and guessing. I can guess almost anything. I have been gifted this for no apparent reason, and it has been of no official value so far.

I am also a fairly good artist, however I loathe artists who talk about themselves, so I will leave that up to you.

Problem solving. I like to listen to problems as best I can and calmly figure out the most simple and easy answer if I am able. I have never been into drama, and never want to be. I will leave that to people who need more attention than I do.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am fairly tall, and mostly over-dressed for everything. I usually am coming from work where I have to dress like I just walked out off the set of Boardwalk Empire.

Sometimes I hear I look sad a lot, however most of the time I am just thinking about something in my life or something on a more grand scale than the immediate situation I am in. I am a pretty happy person almost all the time, and consider every day a chance to kick ass at life.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Great Expectations (movie), Amelie (movie), Spaceballs, Goonies, and anything by Wes Anderson. I don't read that much, and love almost all music except experimental jazz and country. Food is also pretty wide, although you can't go wrong with anything in contemporary American or traditional Italian cuisine. I can cook pretty well also. Just throwing that out there.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Pencil and paper, eyesight, democracy, in season heirloom tomatoes, my family, and lemonade.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
I think a lot about the next steps of my life and how I can make them as surefooted as possible. I want to be the best I can be as a human being, and hope I make the most educated and thoughtful decisions I can in life.

I also think a lot about how people operate, and why they choose to make certain decisions. Understanding why people make decisions I think allows you to see who they really are as a person.

Considering all the re-makes in Hollywood in the last ten years, I wonder what would happen if they re-made The Goonies. I would be a little pissed, but it would depend on who directed it, and the actors chosen. That movie is as big a part of me as my first kiss, which I actually remember less about than I do The Goonies. "Bulletholes.... O.R.V..."
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Either out with friends, making dinner at home, or hopefully painting.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have bought more than 5 scented candles in my life, and don't back away from that. I also have a somewhat large tattoo that I still love to this day, and will for a long time.
